For all of the useless Daving that will inevitably be witnessed in this discussion, rest assured that my solution is the only one that will ensure, most absolutely, that no more brown coats will ever again participate in coercion in a manner consistent with lobbying for a government gun to come force you to lick boots. Actually, being old myself I have first hand knowledge how useless we are ... my mother's final advice to me was "being 80-something sucks" ... I believe her ...

Shit.....being 55 sucks compared to being 45.

My Father in Law went against the wishes of his Wifes DNR request and when she woke up she was pissed!!!! And I dont blame her.

Everyone likes to put the blame on everyone, and talk crap on everyone's ideas about how to take care of Covid. So lets take a moment to put your big boy panties on and tell us how YOU would take care of the issue if you were president. I know, the president isn't responsible and he doesn't have control like that, but just putting this out there for arguments sake. And lets make a rule, you can't talk shit on someones response without putting your own idea out there.

Mine? I would go the complete 100% total shut down of the entire country with exception of the medical industry for 2 weeks, and grocery stores would be closed for 1 week. EVERYTHING else is closed, no exception. The country would look like a creepy holocaust ghost town for a bit. Can't leave the fucking house. Wanna see a movie? Fuck off. Want to go to the park? Fuck off. Feelings are hurt little snowflake? Fuck off. I'm in control and this is how I wanna do it. After 2 weeks of complete shut down, we go back to how we were before Covid was and issue, back to 2019. Still want to wear a mask and stay inside and police everyone else? More power to you, but yes, you can fuck off also. I'm sure this won't solve Covid, and that's why I'm not in charge. Let's hear your ideas.

I wouldn’t do anything except caution people who were at high risk. The virus has a 98% survival rate and masks and social distancing are pretty much useless. Locking down only delays the inevitable and ruins lives.

At this point we need experts in every medical field to come together as well as economists and make an assessment.Not just Virologists! They need to look at the mental health of our kids, and the physical health of our population and the effects of lock down Vs the effects of covid.
Then it needs to be determined what is most damaging to the country in the long term.

Easy steps are to encourage everyone to wear masks and social distance. Stay out of public if you are sick, and to give extra precautions around elderly. Elderly can be instructed on how to self quarantine if they so choose to and they can be assisted with that.

Forced quarantines of healthy people through shutdown is probably not the best route. This is still just a guess and not backed by science. Being outside in the sun and open air is healthy for the human body, that should be encouraged.

research needs to also be done simultaneously on healthy eating habits and natural foods that contain anti viral properties.

Fauci is not the only expert to listen to. I know that Trump took advice from Fauci but also from other experts who hold contrary views to Fauci. Both ends of the spectrum needed to be considered, not just listening to virologists who while expert in that one field, may be missing other
threats to the population.

I don't think two weeks would do it, and anyway people would start going hungry on day one.

Close everything where people gather in large groups. Bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, casinos, amusement parks, and so on.

In store grocery shopping: last names starting with a-h on Monday i-q on Tuesday and r-z on Wednesday. Curbside and drive through any day of the week for anything, and mandatory masks anywhere outside your own home or vehicle.

Then keep it that way until the positivity rate is under 5% for at least a week.

Also, take back the money munuchin is trying to hide and use it to pay everyone who's job gets shut off by the plan. Holidays in rent, licensing, permits, and taxes for closed business as well as assistance to get up and running as soon as safely possible.
