The Hasidics in Williamsburg do have something they do 10 minutes before sundown on a Friday. They use an old WWII airhorn to notify people that the Sabbath is about to begin.
I have no issue with Muslim calls to prayer, just don't use too loud a setting. Also 5 times a day is a bit much. Church bells are usually twice a day and only happen more often on Sundays before services.
