If you could change one thing about our solar system.

If you could change one thing(planet, asteroid belt, size of star, add another planet) about our solar system. What would it be? Remember this doesn't change anything else including orbit of the other planets.

I'd move Venus to 105 million miles from our sun. This would put it within the habitable zone and with time I'd hope it would start cooling down.

That likely would destabilize Earth's orbit, setting up a new resonance in the inner solar system with unknown, likely very bad consequences.

The only thing I would change if I could would be the number of stupid people (present company excepted) residing in it. Now mind you this isn't a call for genocide. It is a call to make sure people get properly educated.

I would change the ruling by the idiots who said Pluto is not a planet.

You are right - the Beagle Boys are really idiots, but dangerous, very dangeorus.

I would send the Global Warming Cult to a planet without any CO2

Strange - very very strange. But whatelse to expect?

Why wouldn't you jump at the chance?

I don't need any chance for nothing. I don't live in fear of my own death. If mankind decides to die out - why not? Your decision not my decision, that's all. It makes maybe more fun to die fighting for all and every life instead only to die because more and more people become egocentristic lazybones fighting for money - but why not? To fall deep to death or to fall deeper to death makes not really a big difference.

You're claiming that an additional 120PPM of CO2 will destroy all life on Earth, but you still want to stay???????

Why should I or we go? We could also let go China and the USA. No idea what will really happen. I heard latest in 2030 the situation will start to grow out of any control if the USA and China don't start now to change their behavior. Maybe in some decades a catholic extraterrestrian will write on the grave of all mankind: "They decided not to be worth to live. Maybe they were right." And some tears will flow out of his antennae while she tries to understand what's not understandable.

Instead of the Moon being a dead rock, I'd have made it something like Europa; geologically active and ice covered with a deep sea.

As cool as that sounds, it would have to be substantially larger than it is if it was in orbit around the Earth and still give us the many benefits our own Moon gives us. The reason is that Europa's density is 2900 kg/m3 while our Moon's density is 3346.4 kg/m3, which means that Europa's density is only about 86.66% of the Moon's. The diameter of the Moon is 3,474.8 kilometers, while Europa's diameter is 3,160 kilometers, which means that Europa's diameter is only about 90.94% of the Moon's. So it would need substantially more mass to give us the tides that we have that are essential to life on our planet and to stabilize the Earth's rotation.
