If voters don’t feel relief, the economy isn’t fixed

Fau-Chi caused the Covid pandemic by paying the Wuhan Lab to do gain-of-function research after Obama told him not to.
Sigh..back to gain of function.......
FACT. That's why Biden pardoned Fau-Chi.

Operation Warp-Speed saved millions of US lives by getting vaccine shots in arms in 10-months when the "experts" like Fau-Chi said 4-years "if then".
Except that wasn't Trump's baby. It was Pence's. Trump tried to take credit for it..but he had already lost the election. And then, months after the vaccines appeared, you started whining about "it takes YEARS to develop a vaccine" and bleating about "MRNA" and "spike proteins".....make up your mind! :)
Just TDS nonsense.
I only speak the truth. I was there. I remember what was said.

Your “twoof” is funny.

Except none of the things you are salivating over here trickle down (see what I did there? :)) to the average American.
Go tell the family buying groceries or paying their bills that inflation is low...and they'll tell you that prices are high, the job market continues to be brutal, housing prices keep going up, and now healthcare premiums are on their way up too. Quite a few Americans don't own any stocks in the market. That's great for the wealthy investors and a rising stock market is always a good sign. However, it don't mean much to the average American.
After partying like rock stars with you liberal radical leftist for that last 50 year's, hell it's no wonder a few or more generations are lost, and are now trying to find there way back from their drunkeness and partying. They have squandered generational wealth and wasted money on college careers that were already behind the times before they ever got a degree.

Then they wasted so much time being indoctrinated into becoming activist in order to be used as useful idiots by super rich people like George Soros and the like. Then Bidens sorry ace tried a move to make the hard working class like me and other's to pay for their damned financial mistakes in life.

It's time to return this nation to it's rightful Aires (the hardworking upper and lower middle-class citizen patriots), instead of steady catering to these failed experiments that were robbing the taxpayer's coffers in favor of chaos and anarchy.

Operation Warp Speed was headed by Moncef Slaoui, who was appointed to the position and reported to trump

Well, under the current administration, nothing will be returned to the supposed rightful "heirs". The wealth will removed from everyone else and continue to be redistributed to the top % of wealth earners.

BTW, your post comes off as a drunken rant...too much partying? :auiqs.jpg:

He is STILL saying that the other countries are paying the tariffs. He's lying to the country's face. He's lying about the amount collected by a factor of about 90 (it's about $200 billion, not $18 trillion). His tariffs have often been punitive, with nothing backing them up other than his typical childlike emotions.

He's caused chaos throughout global financial markets, he's WRECKED our relationships with our (former) friends with threats, mockery and punishment. And he's put a huge financial burden on the backs of American employers, who have responded the only way they could, with layoffs and hiring freezes.

Is he on Putin's payroll?
We import about $1B in goods. Our markup is still the same to our customers. The only way that was possible was raising prices and cutting value out.

You are not considering the $18T in new CAPEX spending commitments Trump got from corporations onshoring new manufacturing plants to avoid the tariffs. For decades we have seen our manufacturing plants being moved overseas, now we;re going to get some back. You're welcome.
That is made up. No one is spending more in the US than they planned. Even their website has a much smaller number and I cant find any that is truly incremental. Tell me, how is the Foxconn (emphasis on con) plant doing? That commitment failed.

If voters don’t feel relief, the economy isn’t fixed

The concerns of many Americans about their economic well-being may be at the highest level since the Great Depression. Politico recently reported that 46% of Americans say their cost of living is the worst that they can remember, including over one-third of Trump voters. Nothing better exemplifies this than the many “30-somethings” who are unable to purchase a home.

Financial anxieties center around affordability, which is the proxy for evaluating whether the economy is meeting the public’s needs. Affordability is the degree to which households can responsibly pay for essential goods and services.

Gregg Ip, an economic commentator for the Wall Street Journal, says that affordability cannot be measured solely by economic data, but must also account for perceptions of financial security.

President Trump opined that concerns about affordability are a “hoax” created by Democrats for political purposes. Most Americans would disagree. While the runaway inflation of the Biden presidency has moderated, widespread concerns about affordability persist. According to a recent Politico poll, nearly half of the nation found the cost of their groceries, health care, utilities, and housing to be unaffordable. About half of the respondents said food costs are difficult to manage, and more than a quarter skipped medical appointments because of the cost.

In the 2026 midterm elections, it will be incumbent upon Republicans and Democrats to make an affordability agenda “job one.” These agendas should be the yardstick voters use to cast their vote for members of Congress and state officials.

I disagree. All the Left has to do is continue to destroy the US from within with spending like a drunken sailor, while "fixing" everything by trying to give away even more things as "free".

But as we all know, or at least should, nothing is ever free. The price for continuing to offer "free" things is a cost voters never reckon on paying.

And for Trump to say that the hurting economy is a hoax is not helping him. No, it is the exact opposite.

And yes, under Biden unaffordability hit new record heights as the DNC contributed to much of it, but Trump is President now and must fix it overnight or meet a horrible fate in the midterms.

For the Left, they could not be happier as they will see both Trump and a free market collapse altogether.

That was always the goal.
It's the same around the globe because the stupids closed their economies down for the very tiny tiny tiny few. And now, the vast majority are suffering. COVID will forever be in the history books on how stupid the human race is.

Yep....the post title says it all.... It's really just that simple. 99% of the people are not going to be interested in any complex economic analyses or some computer generated predictions... they're going to be interested in what's happening right now at the cash register.... today....ahora!...maintenant! That's it.

That 1.3 was largely due to the midterms

Overall Americans were worse off under four years if xiden

The 1.3 didn’t cover the 23 percent inflation over his four years

We are still climbing out of that
Say you don’t know what real wages are without saying you don’t know what real wages are. Hint-they are inflation adjusted.

Even who's website has smaller numbers? WTF you talkin' about Willis?

Here is the $18T list if they all happen, even if they don't all happen, its a win.

Foxconn happened, but at a reduced scale, not a con. Solyndra was a con, Biden was a con, the ACA is a con.

If Trump crusaded to lower tariffs, ours and theirs, we'd all be better off but he never had clear goals, if any. The few times he said we were being taken advantage of from other nations, he never lowered their tariffs. He just raised ours.

Last I heard, tariffs haven't ended the world.

April 2025

At face value, the concept of trade reciprocity is simple: We charge you the same tariffs that you charge us.

The Trump administration aims to rebalance tariffs between the U.S. and other countries to make them reciprocal. Such a move bucks 75 years of multilateral U.S. trade policy and sidesteps rules of the World Trade Organization, the successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade of 1947.

This change in strategy is happening because the U.S. administration believes the balance has tipped too far as key American industries face steep barriers to selling their products abroad. Take cars, for example. The EU currently imposes a 10% tariff on U.S. cars sold in their markets compared to the 2.5% rate imposed by the U.S. on imported European autos.

It’s unclear whether Trump’s definition of reciprocity would include value-added tax (VAT) rates charged by many countries on domestic purchases. These rates are generally applied at each stage of production, versus a U.S. sales tax which is levied at the final sale. Many economists argue that VATs aren’t taxes on imports, so they aren’t the equivalent of tariffs.

Tariffs on major trading partners such as China, the EU, Canada and Mexico can reduce U.S. trade deficits and boost domestic production by giving local firms an edge over imports.

They are also likely to invite retaliation, such as Canada’s removal of U.S. liquor from its shelves. China could ban critical mineral exports to the U.S., decrease purchases of airplanes and agriculture products, and increase investigations of U.S.-based companies with exposure to China, including Apple, Starbucks and Tesla.

Defending Foxconn should cost you all your credibility.

In 2021, Foxconn reneged on the agreement. The plan was drastically scaled down in a new agreement:
  • Planned investment cut to roughly $672 million (from $10 billion).
  • Job target cut to about 1,450 positions (vs. 13,000).
  • Tax credits were reduced to about $8 million under terms available to typical companies — far less than the original multibillion-dollar subsidies.

That list is bogus. Here is an anaysis:

Some of the investment “commitments” from countries are many multiples of those countries’ annual GDP suggesting unrealistic projections.

So FOXCONN spent $672m of their own money and didn't get the $3b tax credit, and you're whining?

That is 1,450 Foxconn jobs, compared to the Solyndra scandal, where US taxpayers lost $535m.
