It will be amusing to see how quickly the mainstream media switches gears regarding the economy should Trump win.
We will suddenly see news stories about single mothers struggling to feed their children during the "Trump Recession".
The homeless junkie Democrats in San Fran will suddenly become photogenic again.

The people watching CNN at the doctor's office will soon see concerned anchors talking about the national debt and the
failure of the Trump admin to secure the border. Perhaps, they will be at the doctors because they got whiplash from watching the
media spin 180 degrees? :dunno:

Oh no doubt about that.

Oh and remember the period where there was two months of no growth (your traditional recession) under Biden and the dems/msm deemed it not a recession and people fell for it.....Just wait till the next time that happens and the MSM will be in full throat about recession if Trump/gop is in charge.

It is inevitable. Trump wins and everything goes to shit on MSM.

Majority of Americans wrongly believe US is in recession – and most blame Biden

Nearly three in five Americans wrongly believe the US is in an economic recession, and the majority blame the Biden administration, according to a Harris poll conducted exclusively for the Guardian. The survey found persistent pessimism about the economy as election day draws closer.

The poll highlighted many misconceptions people have about the economy, including:

  • 55% believe the economy is shrinking, and 56% think the US is experiencing a recession, though the broadest measure of the economy, gross domestic product (GDP), has been growing.
  • 49% believe the S&P 500 stock market index is down for the year, though the index went up about 24% in 2023 and is up more than 12% this year.
  • 49% believe that unemployment is at a 50-year high, though the unemployment rate has been under 4%, a near 50-year low.

89% believe we are in a period of rampant inflation because, well, we are.

Well, considering Republicans bring recessions EVERY TIME THEY GET INTO OFFICE, a Trump recession would probably be inevitable.

The Fed has been trying to trigger a recession for the last three years to get inflation under control. I wouldn't be surprised if we have one next year regardless of who wins.

But it will be much worse under Trump because Trump will just cut taxes for rich people and call it a day. That never really works, as we saw with Dubya Bush.

Like other posters pointed out, the media hates Democrats. The media always fakes stories about how bad the economy supposedly is under democrats, and always smooches Republican butts.

When was the last time you saw the media mention how Trump left the economy a smoking ruin, the worst economy since Hoover? The media has completely and conveniently forgotten the massive Trump recession.

Biden performed a miracle by fixing the Trump debacle, by getting Trump's high gas prices down, and by taming the Trumpflation. He did it without causing a recession, which no president has ever done before.

Remember, Trump bragged about how succcessful he was at raising gas prices. When you saw high prices at the pump, remember that TRUMP DID THAT. That's not debatable by honest honest person, since Trump bragged about doing it.

Not only did Trump jack up gas prices, much of that money went into his family's pockets, through bribes from the Saudis. Trump and his family are laughing at the Trump cult rubes, who gleefully hand him their money and then blame Democrats.

If you've got gonads, you'll vote Trump out for that. If you don't, if you're a squealing spineless eunuch, you'll keep licking Trump boots and handing him your money. We know all the Trump cultists here will choose the 'nadless route. After all, they were castrated as part of the initiation ceremony.

Oh, some thoughts. The economy always does much better under Democrats.

Also consider the deficit. Biden dropped the deficit, bigly. Trump exploded the deficit, even more bigly. That's always the case, that Republicans explode deficits, while Democrats reduce deficits.

Actually, we aren't. But thanks for helping prove the power of RWM misinformation.......and your gullibility.
1. LIAR. Bidenomics is a disaster. Inflation went up about 25% during his term.

2. That inflation is hitting everyone hard, but especially the lower incomes.

Americans need an extra $11,400 today just to afford the basics

3. Here is one more opinion you need to hear

I don't think the trump admin can be blamed for the financial ruin caused by COVID as much as they can the incompetent government response to the pandemic more generally.

1. During Trump's 1st term he and Mnuchin cut taxes to spur growth to 5% or better. It never happened. The only thing that grew was the National Debt. GOP fiscal irresponsibility (lies) say that cutting taxes raises revenue, which may be somewhat True, except that the small increase in revenue is offset by a huge amount of BORROWING added to the DEBT. No one in DC ever reduces spending.

2. The best outcome in Trump's 2nd term would be if Elon Musk redesigned the Federal government and the Budget to save a few $trillion and get to a surplus to start paying down the $35T Debt. Never happen, but its a wonderful idea...

Bidenomics has been a success. The global inflationary spiral that occurred was a consequence of conditions he inherited. A spiral boosted by the Fed's misjudgment that inflation would be transitory.
And he brought it down with no effect on a booming economy. Not everyone invested their money, but that is their problem, and a personal choice they made.

I invested mine and never even noticed the so-called "inflation".

1. The MSM are all democrat propaganda outlets except for FNC. Did you see JD Vance stuff Martha Raddatz after she tried to nail Trump for saying Tren de Kamala was taking over Aurora, CO? Martha said it was only a handful of apartment complexes, and JD nailed her.

2. Trump's economy before Covid was better than Biden's.

3. Bidenomics is a disaster. Inflation went up 25% under Biden.

4. Gas under Trump was ~$2, Biden's war on energy made gas prices explode dumbass.

5. You want to talk about the deficit and adding to the Debt. Biden and Trump BOTH added too much. Here are their Budgets and their deficits. Trump had the shutdown to deal with, Biden just spent too much.
Biden’s 2025 Budget is $7.30T with a $1.8T deficit______TOTAL BIDEN $6.9T (in theory)
Biden’s 2024 Budget was $7.30T with a $2.0T deficit
Biden's 2023 Budget was $6.13T with a $1.7T deficit
Biden's 2022 Budget was $6.27T with a $1.4T deficit
Trump's 2021 Budget was $6.82T with a $2.8T deficit___ TOTAL TRUMP $7.6T (actual)
Trump's 2020 Budget was $6.55T with a $3.1T deficit
Trump's 2019 Budget was $4.40T with a $0.9T deficit
Trump's 2018 Budget was $4.10T with a $0.8T deficit

I don't think the trump admin can be blamed for the financial ruin caused by COVID as much as they can the incompetent government response to the pandemic more generally.
Trump's Operation Warp Speed got vaccine shots in arms in 10-months when medical experts said 4-years "if then".
You're welcome.

If you buy groceries you have to notice inflation. My fav sandwich meat doubled in price this year. Bastards.

Welcome to backwards world.

When Trump won in 2016… Trump was talking about how bad the economy was ( exactly like now) and as soon as he was in the White House that very same economy with virtually no changes became “the greatest ever”.

That’s exactly what Trump will do this time if he were to win.

Conversely if the economy were to go south no one is going to arbitrarily make the claim that it’s awful. It will be the actual numbers and trends that make that determination.
