If The Dems Lose the Midterms, This Moment at the State of the Union Will Be Cited as the Reason Why

Those voices that you are hearing are just in your head.

We still have a way to go before Election Day 2026.

It’s shaping up to be a good year for Democrats, or so they think.

Anything can happen between now and Labor Day, so let’s recalibrate then.

But if Democrats fumble the ball here, and it’s possible given their terrible leadership, this moment will be cited as the reason why.

First, CNN polled speech watchers, and Trump’s approval for his agenda grew the more he spoke.

Second, standing with American citizens over illegal aliens shouldn’t be a tough sell.

No Democrat stood up when Trump asked if those who agree that the core function of government is to protect American citizens, not illegals:

The president rightly called Democrats crazy, adding their agenda is killing the country, but his 2024 win stopped it.

It’s a brutal juxtaposition, one that could be election-killing.

The problem is that it might have happened too early. Again, we’ll see what happens, but last night’s address provided Republicans with a lot of ammunition for campaign ads.

In a rational world last night would have destroyed the Democrat Party.
Of course, last night was not the first thing that should have
Unfortunately, we don't live in a rational world.
Absolutely 100% correct on every point.

Let me say this: the performance last night by the Democrats, the no-shows and the rudeness, the sitting on their hands instead of applauding common things like the gold medal winning U.S. men's hockey team, was a profound embarrassment.
See, what has changed is that in the Olde Days Democrats disagreed with Republicans a lot of the time. And they'd fight like hell during the day with them but after hours, the two sides could get together for a drink and maybe even a laugh.
Those days are gone. Long gone.
Because the Democrat Party is so far removed from mainstream America, so hate-filled, so weird, so sick, so creepy, so angry, so deranged and unhinged and irrational, these are no longer people you can have a drink with. Or would want to.
Because they hate regular folks, particularly those of us who voted for Trump and agree with most of his policies.
I used to disagree with Democrats but could still like them as people and enjoy their company.
It's getting impossible to do that now. In fact, I've learned to despise many of them.
They clearly want a civil war. And, by God, I think they're going to get one.

Why didn't you people stand when Trump asked if they agreed that “the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens,”?
Because they hate America and want to flood us with illegals who will help them win the civil war they're hoping for.

LOSER!!!!!!! Deport this *****.....

Crazy right?

Congress is it your duty to protect and defend US Citizens?

Where have I read about that.............

Oh yeah-

Provide for the common defense is in the preamble to The Constitution and Article 1 Section 8 of The Constitution
empowers Congress to raise, support, regulate and ensure funds and means to maintain national security.

But Democrats pick and choose The Constitution like it is an ala-carte menu at the local cafeteria.

If the Dems lose the mid terms, it will be because they couldn't offer a positive alternative to aggressive ignorance, vulgarity, childishness, cruelty, corruption and immorality.

That would be on the Dems alone, not Trump.
Not happy with the way your cult performed last night, huh? LOL

Independents did. And they will decide the midterms
Trump is not polling well with independents

Approval & Job Performance
  • New CNN/SSRS polling shows only about ~26–32 % of independents approve of Trump’s job performance, while ~66–73 % disapprove — meaning he’s significantly underwater with this key group.
    • One YouGov/Economist poll reports 25 % approve vs. 66 % disapprove among independents — a net -41 job approval.

  • This is described as a record low for independents in recent polling.

Broader Context
  • A Reuters/Ipsos poll found 64 % of independents view Trump as increasingly erratic, and only about 36 % see him as mentally sharp — further reflecting weak support.

That's why last night was a turning point. They saw who are the crazy ones. And that was the more sane half of your party

Polls have always been wrong about Trump

I play wherever I like. I don’t take direction from fascist freeloaders.

"fascist". I'm a strict constructional federalist.

"freeloader" I pay my own way.

two more things you are wrong about, to add to the list of hundreds.

Democrats are betting that illegals and their supporters will out vote Americans.

But not really, the dems are filled with stupidity, vulgarity, reprobate behavior, corruption, lies, immoral practices and the list of negatives goes on for miles. The people will do what they have been doing for decades and vote mainly for the opposite party. There is no reason or rhyme. Both parties suck.
