If someone has advice on how to break through to trump fans I'm all ears.

It might help if you stop posting links to stories that the MAGA base thinks are terrific victories?
How did they come to believe defeats for the country and democracy are victories?

:dunno:
I noticed that too. Democrats have no idea why they failed and continue to support policies 80% of the nation opposes.

this guy calls me a loon in the process of explaining that civility is the key further proof that civility is not a factor in convincing anyone.
My bad, I didn't refer to you personally as a loon I referred to all of you loons. Similarly to you referring to those on the right as Maggots or Nazis. Perhaps you prefer being referred to as "idiots".

Any chance I can get you to respond to the subject of the thread?

Back to my original question. How can I get trump devotees to take the small step of recognizing Jeanine Pirro should not have been nominated, nor confirmed, to be DC's US Attorney in light of this unequivocal evidence? Because if you can, perhaps you can take the next step. Maybe look in to Ed Martin and why Repubs refused to confirm him. More importantly, ask yourselves how trump could have put him in a temporary role as US Attorney in the first place and then assigned him to work for the DoJ.

I was struck by the revelations of text messages by Jeanine Pirro to Ronna McDaniel for two reasons. But first, here is what she wrote.

Ms. Pirro, a former Fox News host who is now the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., told Ronna McDaniel, then the Republican National Committee chair, in a text in the months before the election: “I work so hard for the President and the party.” Ms. Pirro had been pushing for a pardon from Mr. Trump for her ex-husband, Smartmatic argues.

A weekend personality on Fox made her case for her ex-hubby's pardon by sending the message about how she used her position as a broadcaster to work for trump and the Repub party. Other text messages from other anchors show just how much Fox was in the tank for trump by fomenting the "stop the steal" lie. This, from a cable station many millions of conservatives rely on for accurate information to inform their opinions. The problem being, it isn't accurate.

As a quick aside, consider how radically different the political landscape would be if the Fox talking heads had done what they should have done, what the facts told them to do, acknowledge trump's defeat.

The second thing is Pirro was rewarded for her hard work shilling for trump by being nominated to be the US Attorney for DC. Replacing Ed Martin.......a man so corrupt even Senate Repubs refused to confirm him. Repubs had no problem confirming Pirro despite the obvious compromise of her ethics and lack of ability to make impartial prosecutorial decisions. A furtherance of the corruption of the judiciary by trump as a reward for Jeanine's loyalty.

Then maybe, just maybe, you can take the final step. You can ask yourselves why being in agreement with trump on border security has translated to support of what happened to Andry Hernandez Romero. Or this...........

This is ridiculous. She was making millions working for Fox and took a job for less than $500k to be New York's US Attorney.
She was a regular on "The Five" and she gave that up to help end the crimewave in NYC.
There's no way Trump was doing her a favor by nominating her for US Attorney.

Does being a regular on "The Five" make her a quality nominee?

Studies into cults have essentially concluded that there is no breaking through from the outside. They have established and adopted their new reality, and it is an important part of who they perceive themselves to be. It's intensely personal.

As we have seen, this is so personal to them that it's breaking their families, their marriages, their relationships, and close friendships. THAT's when you know what this is. That's when you know their turning away is complete.

Either they ultimately figure it out on their own, or they don't. Any attempts from the outside only makes them retreat further into it.

You are never going to be able to make your case using lies.
2.5 million voters left the democrats and went to the GOP. Millions have fled democrat states to live in GOP states. Democrats are in a death spiral. The next census will take over 10 seats in the house away form democrats and the GOP gets them.

My guess is that only sycophants would work for Trump to begin with so his choices are rather narrow.

I see the flaw in your question. You are looking for a logical way to communicate with trump cult members. There is no way to do that. Their brainwashing won't allow it. In time, some might realize how he misused them. Doubtful that those will actually turn against him. At best they might be less likely to endorse his every whim. Unfortunately, the rest will go to their grave as loyal drones. Deprogramming cult members is no small task.
