If Reparations are ever Paid to Blacks for being Descendents of Slaves, Can we be Sure that none of the Payments Will Ever go to . . .

Seems you have the problem
Almost all slaves came from West Africa
...and sold from other tribes in Africa.

Thomas Jefferson famously had multiple children with his slave, Sally Hemmings.

Should the relatives of Thomas Jefferson, a slave owner, be given reparations? 🤔

The whole premise of reparations for US slavery is flawed in order to skew the blame for slavery onto the current population. And it is further confounded by the fact that African tribes were the ones who captured the slaves and sold them to European slave traders, who transported them to the US and sold them. So, it seems wise to make Africa and Europe pay most of any reparations. Why should the current US taxpayer have to pay for their atrocities?

I agree. If we trace our histories back far enough every single American alive today is descended from ancestors who were themselves enslaved sometime in the past 5,000 years. We're all descendants of slaves.

The only difference today is that most of our ancestors have learned how to move on, but some still cling to a past of slavery as an excuse for their failures in life today.

Oh…..in that case I guess it is perfectly understandable for the U.S. to enslave 4 million people

Nobody said it is acceptable. The point is we don’t do that anymore, and haven’t for 150+ years, and it’s past time for blacks to stop blaming what they never experienced and instead appreciate the favoritism they’ve gotten for the last two generations.

if I were black - with the same intelligence and discipline I now have - I would have gone to Harvard and been ON THE SCOTUS, or maybe the Vice President. If I wanted that.

Germany doesn’t slaughter Jews anymore but still recognize it is part of their history.

Slavery and 100 years of JIm Crow are part of our racist history

Who is denying any of all that? At least we don’t have it anymore, unlike countries that are CURRENTLY racist.

The issue is whether people who were never slaves, nor their parents, nor their grandparents, get money from people who were never slave-owners, nor their parents, nor their grandparents.

No, it wasn't OK. But, we ended slavery at great cost in treasure and lives lost. President Lincoln spoke very eloquently about that in his second inaugural address. I reread that address frequently.

We ended slavery in 1865 but continued to allow second class citizenship till 1965
