If Mexico can't eliminate the cartels, should the US military do the job ?

The war should have never started.. it started because of Biden administration .... Namely Blinken's push to have Ukraine join NATO which is why the current war started
That's a fact but the deaf ears have been plugged ..... just in case their hearing is restored by Divine Intervention.

Its not a question of 'should,' its a question of 'can it?' The US has been supporting military efforts in the Americas for decades to suppress drug operations and cartels (well, according to legend, the ones not supported by the CIA). Columbia and Mexico went to war against the Cartels for a decade and neither really won. Mexico definitely lost. The only country sort of winning is the one that pretty much imprisoned any male with a tattoo, and even then that may have just cut the violence, not cartel operations.

Given our lack of success internally against the Mob with booze, and organized crime with drugs here...I am thinking...no, not without massive change.

"Success rate" is a load of bullshit, even according to your own link.

Just because some "relapses" or backslides into continued use, its not considered to be a failure by these "experts".

As far as needle exchanges , there is no proof the HIV and hep rates are any less in cities that have this atrocities going on.

-----------------

"Relapse does not mean failure, however. Many recovering addicts will relapse at some point.

According to NIDA, the relapse rate for drug addiction is 40% to 60%"

Yep... The drug rehab business doesn't want to work well because they would put themselves out of business. It's a very big business.

Career addicts should receive the death penalty in my opinion.

What was that you said a
You think killing Mexicans will resurrect those 70,000, huh?
What was that you said days ago about Arabs' (supposed) "payback" - hypocrite Islamic bigot.

We will only kill mexicans who deserve to die
MEXICO CITY — Mexico’s president on Tuesday ruled out allowing U.S. strikes against cartels on Mexican soil, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump said he was willing to do whatever it takes to stop drugs entering the U.S.

“It’s not going to happen,” President Claudia Sheinbaum said.

“He (Trump) has suggested it on various occasions or he has said, ‘we offer you a United States military intervention in Mexico, whatever you need to fight the criminal groups,’” she said. “But I have told him on every occasion that we can collaborate, that they can help us with information they have, but that we operate in our territory, that we do not accept any intervention by a foreign government.”

While Dotard may see himself as the King of the US he doesn't rule over Mexico. If he did they would have paid for the wall.
