If Mexico can't eliminate the cartels, should the US military do the job ?

The precedent in International Law is definitely there for the USA to do exactly that.

One of the most hallowed precepts of International Law is the Roosevelt Corollary which gives America the right to enter nations in our hemisphere when they can't handle their own affairs.

The real question is why Sleepy Joe didn't do anything about it.
At the end of the day that doesn't even matter might makes right he that carries the biggest stick, the US can do what they please because we damn well have the biggest stick.

Whatcha gonna hit? How are you going to identify your targets? what are they going to do in response?
Oh shut you up you idiot.... We know where they are .The Mexican government knows where they are.... People like you are pathetic like weak little b****** .... 'What are we going to do'... ' we can't find them'🙄

Lmfao what a cuck that dude is.

I guarantee you the US government knows we're they are for ***** sake we know we're every goat ****** hiding in a cave 6000 miles away are, i promise you we know we're the thugs in our backyard are

What will they do about it? NOT A DAMN THING because they can do nothing.

Self-Defense. I know leftwingers have trouble wrapping their heads around this simple concept, but it has never been more relevant than right now. Mexican cartels & gangs from other latin-American countries have been killing Americans with fentanyl & other drugs + violence at a rate far surpassing Americans killed in Vietnam.

ACTION is required.

US Military needs to go into Mexico and team up with Mexican military, and destroy the cartels. This should be done with or without the consent of Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum.

Wrong.
The gangs and cartels are the good guys, and it the puppet dictators we set up that are evil.
Fentanyl is a legal drug and never killed anyone.
What is killing people is making fentanyl illegal without a prescription, so the buyers do not know the concentration, so are killed by the US government preventing proper labeling.

And using the military over what is a criminal offense obviously is illegal and totally wrong.
The military does not know how to determine what level of force is legal to use, and is trained only in how to kill, which is far worse than the gangs and cartels.

Wrong.
Just like Prohibition, there is no legal authority over the use or sale of drugs at all.
The entire DEA should be charged and imprisoned for their obvious violation of individual rights.

Nope, the USAAF never tried carpet bombing in Europe.

Yes they did carpet bomb in Germany in WWII.
In order to create firestorms, like in Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, etc., they first carpet bombed in order to collapse the roof of the buildings, turning them into chimneys for the napalm the next wave dropped.

The firestorms we then created were illegal since they targeted civilians, but we didn't care.

The cartels are terrorist they kill Mexican government officials behead people and slaughter whole families a traffic human beings and sell women and children into sex slavery.... They work with the Communist Chinese who produce the fentanyl.... Mexicans?🙄.... My heart bleeds for the Mexicans your so concerned about....idiot

Wrong.
The gangs and cartels exist in Mexico because they are popular.
It is the government that abuses, beheads, and slaughters whole families.
The gangs and cartels feed and protect the people, and are vastly more appreciated by the people than the corrupt government is.

I don’t think Pershing had permission from the Mexican government when he invaded and spent months chasing Pancho Villa.

Pancho Villa was the hero of the Mexican people, and it was criminal that the US betrayed him.

Pancho Villa was a criminal who invaded the USA and killed both civilians and soldiers in numerous raids. He took his civi war with the legal Mexican president into the USA.

That isn’t how firestorms happen. They are the result of the surface temperature reaching a certain level where the hot air rising from wide-spread fires cause hurricane force winds of cooler air to fuel and excite the fires.

Wrong.
The US violated its treaties, and took in the royalist, putting them on US trains, in order to move then behind the forced of Pancho Villa, and defeated him.
The only "legal Mexican president" was Pancho Villa.
All the rest were and still are puppet dictators.

{...
Trouble between the United States and Pancho Villa had been growing since October 1915, when the United States government officially recognized Villa's rival and former ally Venustiano Carranza as head of the government of Mexico. The U.S. also provided rail transportation through the United States, from Eagle Pass, Texas, to Douglas, Arizona, to move more than 5,000 Carrancista forces to fight Villa at the Battle of Agua Prieta; Villa's seasoned División del Norte was smashed.[9] Feeling betrayed, Villa began attacking U.S. nationals and their property in northern Mexico.[10] On November 26, 1915, Villa sent a force to attack the city of Nogales and in the course of the ensuing battle, engaged with American forces before withdrawing.

That EXACTLY how firestorms happen.
The newly invented napalm by itself could not create firestorms.
But they experimented, and determined that if you caved in enough building first, then dumped the napalm into the combustible rubble inside the brick shell of the building, then each building would act as a chimney to accelerate the vertical displacement of the hot air.
And obviously it worked.

{...
Instead of structure fires, the individual blazes began to coalesce, forming a massive wall of fire being whipped into a frenzy by the wind. These fires swiftly became what’s known as a firestorm, a phenomenon that usually occurs with out-of-control wildfires. A firestorm creates its own winds, drawing in air which feeds the fire in a deadly cycle.

Dresden’s firestorm did more than just turn the city to ashes. It was so enormous that it sucked the oxygen out of the city, causing a massive amount of death due to suffocation.

There are plenty of images showing Pancho Villa being honored by US officials.

{...
was a Mexican revolutionary and prominent figure in the Mexican Revolution. He was a key figure in the revolutionary movement that forced out President Porfirio Díaz and brought Francisco I. Madero to power in 1911. When Madero was ousted by a coup led by General Victoriano Huerta in February 1913, Villa joined the anti-Huerta forces in the Constitutionalist Army led by Venustiano Carranza. After the defeat and exile of Huerta in July 1914, Villa broke with Carranza. Villa dominated the meeting of revolutionary generals that excluded Carranza and helped create a coalition government. Emiliano Zapata and Villa became formal allies in this period. Like Zapata, Villa was strongly in favor of land reform, but did not implement it when he had power.[6]

At the height of his power and popularity in late 1914 and early 1915, the U.S. considered recognizing Villa as Mexico's legitimate president.[7] In Mexico, Villa is generally regarded as a hero of the Mexican Revolution who dared to stand up to the United States.

We did not betray him until later.
Here he is with Pershing.

Liar

It is the cartels who commit the violence'

They feed and protect NO ONE

The people HATE and fear them

Again, government only has authority to protect individuals from harm by others.
There is zero legal authority to impose dictatorial drug laws against individual's own choices.
