I'll tell you what I don't understand, why does the state insist that we buy a car registration every year? I registered the car once with the state and they are free to pull me over and check the registration. Why must I register every year and pay $80 to prove it is still registered?

Because that is a revenue generating scheme program which conveniently also allows them (the government & the credit reporting agencies) to keep an updated database of where you live and have lived. The credit reporting agencies also have this information which they sell to interested parties [edited]. The non-credit information which is contained in the credit report header generally includes residential history. The financial information which includes your mortgages, loans, sometimes banking information, etc. is not as easily accessible unless one works or is in specific industries.

One of the agendas when Republicans are in office is to make movies, TV shows with constant smearing and mocking of personalities turning them into caricatures. It is easy to see.
