This then begs the question, why did Quid Pro Joe and Cackles (terrible name for a rock band) not do something immediately to stem the flow of illegal immigration, instead allowing it to get so bad that they had to beg Republicans to bail them out a few years later? No one denies that there was a surge to the border, as Quid Pro said he expected, but the only response from the government was the elimination of controls that had been put in place by the previous administration with nothing to replace them. The feckless Cackles was sent to deal with the root causes of immigration, and apparently, she was as effective at doing that at she was at getting elected president.

Oh, it is impossible to immediately stem the flow, which is why I applied "immediately" to the actions (or lack thereof), not any resultant reduction in numbers. And yes, Joe DID get petty and undid as much of what TRUMP! did as soon as he could without checking to see if it was good policy or not, then didn't replace TRUMP!'s controls with his own. I believe this was the result of hubris and falling for Orange Man Bad.

Moreover, migrants were more likely to be released after a border arrest under President Trump than under President Biden.

.........trump's record on immigration is not what you trumples believe it is. Combine that with the economically disastrous, possibly illegal plan to deport millions of illegal aliens I'd say you folks have been gaslighted.

It seems to me that one aspect of trumpery is how it tries to strip people of their humanity. It (he) wants you to think of fellow human beings as vermin. As something less than human. It's worth pointing out he doesn't reserve his rhetoric exclusively for immigrants.

I place myself on "the other side of the aisle." He wants you to believe I am vermin because I oppose his policies and will do what little I can to block them. He accuses the political opposition of being enemies of the state when in truth they are patriots with a different vision for the country than he has.

The left has been trying to strip the humanity from the right for a long time now. We shouldn’t forget that.

One distinction i think needs to be made here is that trump never attacked Biden or Harris supporters. When he called people vermin he was referring to his political adversaries. Those politicians who were going after him.

I can’t recall a single time Trump ever directly attacked the citizenry.

Work for a candidate of your choice.

Volunteer at a local food bank or Meals on Wheels.

Actively resist every regressive, illegal, immoral action he tries to take.
