Let’s see what he has in store. First, the border HAS to be sealed. The reason why you have people here now, that have been here for 20 years, have lives, homes, businesses and kids that are citizens is because they crossed illegally 20 years ago and were allowed to remain, and they built a life here. Those millions that have been here for 20 years, they want an amnesty package that includes citizenship for all of them. You all say that illegals don’t vote, oh, they do, just years down the road when they are finally given citizenship.

The ones that are coming in today, if allowed to remain, will do the exact same. Either we have a border or we don’t, either we have immigration laws, or we don’t.

We already have a path to citizenship, we’ve had these laws for decades.

We need to stop the pouring in at the border, then, figure out how to address the ones that are here.

I have found it helpful for my peace of mind at times like this to take personal action against the trumpist agenda. Here's a few things I've done at various times.

Contribute to the ACLU.

Donate books to bookmobiles working against libraries banning books. Banned Bookmobile - Red Wine and Blue

Read voraciously.

Work for a candidate of your choice.

Volunteer at a local food bank or Meals on Wheels.

Make a pledge to Donate Now | Immigrant Legal Resource Center | ILRC

Actively resist every regressive, illegal, immoral action he tries to take.

Now is not the time to despair.
