If a law is not 100% effective should we abolish it?

Criminals don't obey gun laws 100%. Conservatives often point to this to support abolishing gun laws.

But what happens if we expand this logic to other crimes?

Murders don't obey murder laws 100%. Should we abolish murder laws too?

Illegal immigrants don't obey immigration laws. Time to get rid of them!

Unions and corporations don't obey campaign finance laws. I guess we should do away with these laws as well.

When you think about this logically it because very easy to debunk the conservative talking points. A law is not intended merely to prevent behavior. It also defines the punishment for the behavior and gives law enforcement leverage.

get rid of ALL gun laws , Secure the Borders , jail or execute all murderers . Make politicians follow the plan reading and meaning of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and that should just about do it for Laws .
