The first 48 hours or so, that's precisely what the IDF was trying to do. Bombs from aircraft are much more cleanly targeted. Today, it appears they've begun using artillery and tank cannon. That's very bad news for civilians but all that needs to happen for it to stop is for Hamas to put up the white flag. If they keep it up long enough to kill large numbers of Israelis then God help the civilians...
