My guess is that Senor Leon wasn't the ideal resident they are pretending him to be. The innocents I've seen picked up, when you look at them closely, you can see where they have all sorts of charges from drunk driving to breaking in people's home to drug use.

More than likely, his green card expired and he never got it renewed thinking it didn't matter. When he went to replace the card it was expired. He is here illegally. His wife can go with him.
