Their job is to round up illegals especially criminals, NOT us citizensThey are rounding up citizens.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a federal law enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). While many people associate them solely with "deportation," their job is actually much broader, covering everything from human trafficking to cybercrime.
To understand what they do, it helps to look at their two primary divisions:
1 Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO)
This is the most well-known part of the agency. Their "job" is to manage the interior of the country (not the border, which is the job of Customs and Border Protection or CBP).- Apprehension: Identifying and arresting non-citizens who have violated immigration laws.
- Detention: Managing the nationwide system of facilities where individuals are held while awaiting court dates or deportation.
- Removal: Executing final orders of deportation to return individuals to their home countries.
- Supervision: Managing individuals who are not in physical custody but are being monitored (sometimes via GPS or check-ins).
2.Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
This is the agency's massive investigative arm. It functions more like the FBI but focuses specifically on transnational crime and the movement of "people, money, and materials" across borders.- Anti-Trafficking: Investigating human smuggling and human trafficking rings.
- Narcotics: Targeting international drug cartels and the flow of fentanyl/opioids.
- Financial Crimes: Stopping money laundering and bulk cash smuggling.
- Cybercrime: Investigating the "Dark Web," online child exploitation, and intellectual property theft (counterfeit goods).
- National Security: Preventing the illegal export of U.S. military technology and weapons of mass destruction.
