I thought we believed in free speech

We can regain by enforcing libaility.

Biden's White House criticized Tucker Carlson for exercising his free speech rights. How far do Dems want to go on this? Scary stuff.

---During Carlson’s two-hour sit-down with Darryl Cooper, a podcaster whom he said may be the best and most honest popular historian in the United States---

The bigger story is darryl cooper is a piece of shit revisionist historian.

As a conservative I find Tucker Carlson to be garbage.

Trump and Vance need to tell Tucker to tuck and run.

Tucker is a complete moron. Tucker agreed that it was humane to kill the jews

If that's all you're squawking about I take it congress has made no law abridging Tuck Tuck's rights.

And the White House exercised its free speech.

Right?

While the government is not actively involved in curtailing speech in this country there are things that are disturbing about both sides speaking against the speech of others. Which I guess is their free speech, but, as the division gets worse here, it is easy to see where one side or the other could use government power to curtail the speech they don't like, or disagree with....In our case at this moment in time, that would likely be progressive democrats IMHO....
The right showed their true colors after the ABC debate threatening to shut down ABC and prosecute them.

For what?

Being mean to dear leader.

This is free speech. One person expressed an opinion while another expressed a differing opinion.

It's sad how many do not understand the concept of free speech.
How few actually understand that. Every time I see someone, especially someone with power, suggest that 'disinformation' should not be allowed on social media, on television, radio etc. it gives me cold chills. Who gets to dictate what is and is not 'disinformation'?

Think of all the controversies out there with good people on both sides of arguments:

Climate change religionists who seem to 100% believe we are in imminent danger from global warming and that humankind can stop it vs those who just don't believe it is happening in any serious way and/or we should best put our resources to adapt to inevitable climate change instead of destroying liberties and economies by trying to stop it.

Those who advocate one church over another, differences of opinion on Darwin vs Intelligent design/Creation, interpretation of scriptures on any number of human activities

The vaxxers vs anti vaxxers when it comes to COVID etc

We could probably list dozens if not hundreds of topics on which honest debate continues. Unless we have the right to publicly disagree, argue our own point of view, the right to be wrong there is no free speech.
