Just wanted to share this with you.

You'd think the Internet search engines would bring up details of any news story, but that does not seem to be the case.

I remember back in 2001 a briefing about the Afghanistan war where the briefer could tell the difference between the before and after bombing images. I was making a joke about going to war with Venezuela and wanted to add the reference.

Google AI says it definitely happened, but can find no reference link to the incident.

Am I foolish for thinking that if it was reported in the Internet Age, I should be able to link to it?

Beats me, but I can tell you, I have never seen imagery put out to the public to match imagery, I saw at V Corps HQ, and that was years ago.

Always save yourself a copy to your hard drive.

Something will eventually replace it. Nothing lasts forever

Two points:
  1. Keep in mind that 85% (or is it 88%?) of all the traffic on the internet is NOT picked up or shown you by your web browser.
  2. One of the essential points to digital files is that unlike paper which is physical, a digital file can be changed or made to go away in an instant to say or not say anything at all.
