What caused production to increase?

Biden could not keep his promise to shut it down due to the ruling of the Courts that corrected him.

Supply and Demand.

Oil demand cratered at the end of Trump's term due to the pandemic. Oil companies lost a shirt a drastically cut production.

When economy bounced back demand blew up and supply could not keep up, esp with war in Ukraine interrupting Russian oil production to market - this caused inflation spike and pressure to increase production to supplant Russian exports.


Those were the primary market drivers and your fantasies about Biden are just half baked tribalist politico fluff. Yes there are some administrative policy effects to discuss but they were insignificant compared to the much bigger market factors that were not hinged on who happened to be in the White House.
