I think we can accurately say much of the trump agenda is on pause. This is worse.

Judge Rules the White House Failed to Comply With Court Order

A federal judge on Monday said the White House has defied his order to release billions of dollars in federal grants, marking the first time a judge has expressly declared that the Trump White House was disobeying a judicial mandate.

The ruling by Judge John J. McConnell Jr. in Rhode Island federal court ordered Trump administration officials to comply with what he called “the plain text” of an edict he issued last month.

Judge McConnell’s ruling marked a step toward what could quickly evolve into a high-stakes showdown between the executive and judicial branches, a day after a social media post by Vice President JD Vance claimed that “judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power,” elevating the chance that the White House could provoke a constitutional crisis.

Already, more than 40 lawsuits have been filed against the Trump administration, challenging Mr. Trump’s brazen moves that have included revoking birthright citizenship and giving Elon Musk’s teams access to sensitive Treasury Department payment systems. Judges have already ruled that many of these executive actions may violate existing statutes.

Violating existing statutes in pursuit of enacting various EO's is one thing. Violating a recently issued court order is another kind of animal.

The most litigious prez ever to occupy the WH, resulting from the personal commission of crimes, is on course to have his admin spend much of its time defending its actions against lawsuits and judicial orders. Which, frankly, is going just as some of us expected.
This is an activist judge overstepping his authority.

Name the statutes that Trump violated by enacting EO's.

I'm very glad that Trump is defying a judge's order to unfreeze federal grants. The judge has no authority to issue such an order to the executive. His order is sure to be overturned, and irreperable harm would be caused by releasing that money. Billions of dollars worth of harm.
Wow Seymour! I see that honorary law degree from Trump University hasn't hasn't been completely wasted on you.

The way lawful admins deal with courts orders they disagree with is to comply or seek a delay by way of an injunction blocking the order. Not defying it.
When did Biden seek a delay or injunction when the USSC ruled he had no authority to dump student debt on the taxpayers?

“These pauses in funding violate the plain text of the T.R.O.,” Judge McConnell wrote. That earlier ruling ordered the administration not to “pause, freeze, impede, block, cancel, or terminate” money that had already been allocated by Congress to the states to pay for Medicaid, school lunches, low-income housing subsidies and other essential services.

Actually, there are two judges who ruled against the admin.

GO TRUMP! We don't give a shit about your Soros judges. They are part of the swamp we need to drain...
It's the first time since President Donald Trump's second inauguration that a federal judge has accused his administration of defying a court order.

Justice Department lawyers argued in a court filing that they didn't believe the order covered some of the frozen funding and that some of the funding at issue is under review to make sure it's "appropriate.

"The Defendants now plea that they are just trying to root out fraud. But the freezes in effect now were a result of the broad categorical order, not a specific finding of possible fraud," McConnell wrote. "The broad categorical and sweeping freeze of federal funds is, as the Court found, likely unconstitutional and has caused and continues to cause irreparable harm to a vast portion of this country."

The Democrat lawfare via corrupt judges is facing a determined President and a GOP congress and a constitutionally grounded SCOTUS. The media will make it a lot uglier than it actually is, but the judge cannot change what the President is lawfully allowed to do and is committed to do via his campaign promises.

The judge will be overturned.

Personally I think any judge engaging in unethical lawfare should be disbarred and lose his/her license to practice any kind of law.

What funds for “Medicaid, school lunches, low-income housing subsidies and other essential services.” were paused or frozen? Any survivor from a fall out of a coconut tree able to address?

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered a $59 million FEMA payment from just last week to house illegal aliens in “luxury hotels in New York City,” Elon Musk announced Monday.

The payment comes after the Biden administration had claimed FEMA was not using funds to support illegal aliens. “It’s just categorically false. It is not true,” former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters in October.

Republicans argued FEMA did not have enough money in the fall to help victims of the hurricane in North Carolina, but President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security claimed those reports were “completely false” and noted the agency had enough money to fund relief efforts and the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program, which the Biden administration authorized in late 2022 to respond to the migrant crisis.

Musk, who is leading the DOGE initiative to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, said the FEMA payment violated the law and a “clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds”:

The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants.
Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order.
That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals!

Part of the mission of trump 2.0 is the hopeful expansion of executive power by means of forcing cases in front of friendly courts. So far the courts haven't been cooperating. Rather, they've been following the law. Something trump hates passionately.

You know the Dems are actually the ones court-shopping, right?

You know trump sock puppet Aileen Cannon had a number of rulings overturned by the 11th circuit, right? Should she be disbarred because of her lawfare?
