This country is suffering from a really bad case of cronyism, due to the effort of the wealthy elites chipping away at the New Deal of the 1930s. This is inevitable in capitalism. The capitalist ruling class will always chip away at the rights and power of the working-class (94% of the population), in order to lower wages, reduce benefits, and needed government regulations, thereby increasing their profits, and control of government legislation.

These big-money capitalists (not the mom-and-pop pizzeria on the corner) control our government through a legal system of bribery in the form of super PACs ("citizens united") and heavy lobbying. This is practically impossible to eliminate, due to the nature of the beast (capitalism). Albert Einstein, who was a socialist, wrote the following:

" Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands… The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society. Adam Smith, the father of capitalism admitted:

The way our economic system and government are designed makes it practically impossible to eliminate cronyism. It's endemic to the capitalist system. How do we stop the powerful, wealthy elites from spending hundreds of millions of dollars plus in campaign ads and contributions to politicians? It's impossible. The big-money capitalists have an All-Star team of attorneys working for them to advance their agendas and overcome any legal obstacles that might prevent them from having their way. More, the wealthy and powerful capitalists are experts when it comes to breaking up labor unions, especially when they have the government supporting them. The politicians serve them, not us:

The initial solution to all of the above is democratic-market-socialism. We allow a private sector for consumer goods and services, and all of the heavy industries and major centers of economic power are "nationalized" (owned collectively by the American people = publicly owned). The energy sector (fossil fuels, nuclear plants, electric companies), the mining industry, banks, big pharma, the defense industry, all of the utility companies, and a few other infrastructurally vital industries, are owned by the American people. We all own it together and our democratic government manages those businesses for us, under our authority.

We develop a societal infrastructure (a safety social net) that emphasizes the public good, rather than the vested interests of a few wealthy elites. We recognize that every member of our society (citizens and legal residents), has a human right to at least, food, basic housing, healthcare (Medicare), education, and employment in the public sector. If you can't find a job in the private sector, you will have one in the public sector. Everyone that can work will have a job that pays a living wage (no one will be unemployed and broke, hence if you have a business, you'll have more customers and are more likely to become wealthy).

In this phase of the economy, when we adopt market socialism, we encourage workers to start worker-owned cooperatives. For-profit companies that are owned collectively by the people who work them and run democratically. So in this phase we gradually democratize production, and make it worker-owned, although it still remains "for-profit". So we will have privately owned for-profit businesses, competing with worker-owned businesses. Today if a group of workers want to start a worker-owned cooperative, the SBA (Small Business Administration) and banks won't provide them with a loan. That discrimination is created by a system that disempowers workers. A system that serves employers (the wealthy elites/masters - 6% of the population), at the expense of the working class (94% of the population).

In a democratic-market-socialist system, society doesn't adopt non-market socialism, until automation technology becomes so advanced, that it is self-evident to practically everyone, that we don't need to continue having a marketplace or for-profit production.

We smoothly, without anyone lowering their standard of living, or losing any of their personal property and assets, completely transition into a non-profit system of production, also known as socialism, without markets. Markets becoming superfluous due to advanced automation technology. The natural successor of capitalism is socialism (high-tech, democratic socialism). No, you retard, it's not North Korea, because this is America, the capitalist empire. Once America becomes communist, it won't be threatened, encircled, or embargoed by anyone, unlike North Korea, Cuba, and other nations that identify as Marxist. At the very least, most countries that are industrialized, have mixed economies. A little capitalism, with some socialism. “Reparations”? I personally am Sick, and Tried of even hearing about “Reparations”! Where are My “Reparations” for all that I did for my Country? I didn’t receive one cent for what I had done, and I never asked for any, and I never will! I didn’t ask of a single dime for the time that I was separated from my family while I was Overseas helping MY country doing what we needed to do. And where were the “Reparations” for the Mom’s and Dad’s and Children of the Soldiers that never came home to celebrate, Memorial Day, or Veterans Day, or any of the “Days” that we all celebrate!
I like most of you worked hard for all the years that I had to so that I could enjoy the Country that I love. I never protested because I didn’t get “Reparations from the Government that I love. I never burned down buildings, or Turned over Police Cars!, or even LOOTED any stores, …. I need to rant for just a moment. I'm getting older and I’ve worked hard all my life. I have made my reputation, the good and the bad, I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I have worked hard to get where I am in life. I have juggled my job, my family, and made many sacrifices up front to secure a life for my family. It wasn’t always easy and still isn't, but I did it all while maintaining my integrity and my principles. I made mistakes and tried to learn from them. I have friends of every walk of life and if you’re in my circle, it should be understood that I don’t have to remind you of what I’d be willing to do for you.
However....I'm tired of being told that I have to "Spread the Wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. That my friends is PURE BULL!. People who have sacrificed nothing and feel entitled to receive everything.
I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it themselves
I'm really tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which, no one is allowed to debate.
I'm really tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talk like their opinions matter to the common man. I’m tired of any of them even pretending they can relate to the life and bank account that I have.
