TOPEKA — The chairman and vice chairman of the Kansas Young Republicans took part in encrypted chats with political peers that were laced with violent, racist and antisemitic rhetoric and blended with references to white supremacy and suppression of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
On Tuesday, the chairman of the Kansas Republican Party said the Politico article disclosing the commentary prompted immediate deactivation of the Kansas Young Republicans organization.
Politico, a digital news company specializing in coverage of U.S. politics, reported Kansas Young Republicans chair Alex Dwyer and vice chair William Hendrix took part in the Telegram group chat.
In 2,900 pages of chat text, Hendrix praised the Missouri Young Republicans because leaders in that state didn’t like LGBTQ+ people. He repeatedly used racial slurs to refer to Black people, including words such as “n–ga” and “n–guh.” In a July conversation in the thread about African-Americans, he said, “Bro is at a chicken restaurant ordering his food. Would he like some watermelon and Kool-Aid with that?”

The Young Republican National Federation called for immediate resignations following a Politico report on a leaked group chat that featured racist, antisemitic and violent discussions.
“We are appalled by the vile and inexcusable language revealed in the Politico article published today. Such behavior is disgraceful, unbecoming of any Republican, and stands in direct opposition to the values our movement represents,” the Young Republican National Federation’s board of directors said in a post on Instagram Tuesday.
“Those involved must immediately resign from all positions within their state and local Young Republican organizations. We must hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, respect, and professionalism.”
The Young Republican National Federation called for immediate resignations following a Politico report on a leaked group chat that featured racist, antisemitic and violent discussions.

The group chat reportedly included leaders from state chapters of the Young Republicans in New York, Kansas, Arizona and Vermont, Politico reported. Messages in the chat included repeated use of slurs, such as the n-word, the r-word and homophobic f-slurs, which appeared more than 251 times, as well as jokes about sexual assault and the Holocaust.
Peter Giunta, who at the time was chair of the New York State Young Republicans, was identified by Politico as one of the most prominent voices in the chat spreading racist commentary. In one message, Giunta referred to Black people as “watermelon people,” and in another, while discussing an NBA game, wrote, “I’d go to the zoo if I wanted to watch monkey play ball.”

My nephew and all his MAGA buddies on Snapchat talk the exact same way. Racist, sexist, homophobic. I'm on a group chat. Guys in their 20's love to joke about rape too. To them it's funny.
What's odd is my nephew is probably going to marry a black girl. But she's not a big lipped nappy headed black girl. She's half black. Her mom is white. I think she's great but I worry because she comes from a broken family. Not sure if her father is in her life but she has a black step dad who is good to her. So my fear is divorce happens more when your parents got divorced.
And I've dated a few black women. They are great actors. They act like they love you. Then when you break up with them there like "ok cool see ya". White women cry and try to talk you out of breaking up with them. Black girls be like
