I only slap jokes around with those who do the same. Usually this play slamming is reserved for the Flame Zone.

It is a running joke, when I start messing with people out of my serious character.

Since my usual style of posting is either "pollyanna" peacemaking, asking people to look at common points or consider positive sides of others, or long boring drawn out messages that go into more depth and detail than messages than the average attention span.

A little comic relief helps, to take a break from my Mother Mary pleas for mercy to break up bullying wars, or my Thomas Jefferson Constitutional type arguments that can go on for days....

miketx looks like we have a real sweetheart on board. She even stood up for you! Wassup????

The really thoughtful Christians and political posters I think will fit in with are on the Politics and Religion forums.

This Intro forum is like introducing the new babysitter or substitute teacher. And if course, a few class clowns have to show up and show off.

You seem to know where you stand politically and religiously, and you are clearly friendly and nice.

If you like, I can PM you and tag some of the other conservative and Christian posters who may connect closely with you.

But the bullying is something else. I had my fair share of it yesterday, but I’m not bothered by it, because I don’t value that person’s opinion, or even that person at all.

Hello everybody, this is currently my silver lining to an upsetting day. For the last forum I was on people weren't being treated fairly and I wasn't allowed to be myself. Cause I was a part of a Christian forum and they didn't like the fact that I love Harry Potter and Halloween and all kinds of spooky things. However, it looks like I'm really going to like it here because there's a variety of things on here for me to do and there's even a category for religion.



Not to mention the fact that I am a Conservative and I'm not sure what the main political views are on here but I really like what the top of the page says that this is a place where our voices count and that's an important part of being an American to me. So although it didn't work out for me on my other forum, it looks like I will be free to be myself on here. I am very friendly, love animals, and love to write. My first name is April but I also like to be called my nickname of Rilly. I can't wait to meet you all and hopefully there will be some other Potterheads on here that I can find that love Jesus as well.

1. Some bullying is reactionary. From past karma swinging the other way.
Example: Christians used to reject and exclude LGBT and now it's flipped to LGBT attacking Conservative Christians for their beliefs.

2. Some of it is turf and pecking order rituals.
When cliques of people want to determine who is with them or who isn't, they do these rituals to pick who belongs where.
Very high school, I know.
But full grown adults still play the game:
"You can't be my friend and be friends with THAT group"
You are supposed to hate on the same people in order to show loyalty.
Switching groups is Nature's way of reorganizing us in likeminded teams.

3. Some of it is personal projection.
People with Mommy issues, Daddy issues, or grieving over a loss of a relationship may act out the process by repeating or projecting unresolved issues from the past onto future relationships.

The point is to keep working through these issues. So interacting online is like unmoderated Group Therapy, where anybody may be going through their 12 steps of recovery, or 5 stages of grieving, but all talking at the same time, where some are venting and other people are taking their rants literally.

[^ example of long drawn out boring message with more details than anyone needed to hear. Sorry.
But this is why people almost prefer that I take a break, joke and slam every once in a while, because at least those posts are shorter!]
