The data reveal that during these years the number of Arab students in computer science increased from approximately 930 (2011) to 1,597 students (2011). At the same time, among the general student population, there was a 30% increase in the number of students in computer science from 10,700 students to 13,935.

Most of the Arab students in computer science study at universities (about 80%), but there is also a trend of expansion in colleges - from about 100 students in 2011 to about 300 students in 2007.

In the general sector, 50% of computer science students (approximately 7,000 students) study in universities and the other half in colleges. In the Arab sector, the percentage of computer science students studying in universities is much higher - approximately 80%. However, there is also a trend of expansion in colleges - from about 100 students in 2010 to about 300 in 2007.

In the general population, the proportion of women applying for computer science studies is about 31%, whereas in Arab society the percentage of women is about 40%. About 90% of Arab women students study in universities, and the rest (about 10%) in colleges.
