Why? I'm not totally insensitive to people's feelings. I may not be convinced of their viewpoints but I'm not averse to wearing a mask in someone's presence if they are panic-stricken about contagion. I simply realize that it's a meaningless gesture that's all. If it makes them more comfortable then I suppose there's some value in it regardless of it's deceptiveness.Ahh... you're hilarious.
The only way to avoid risk is to live in a bubble and even then someone could come along with a sharp object and pop the bubble. The point is you simply cannot extract total compliance from the population. It's never been accomplished at any time in history and is not likely to be accomplished any time in the future. Given that one aspect alone you would think people would realize that we all accept risk as a part of our daily regimen to a greater or lesser extent and we do whatever we can to mitigate it unless mitigation means complete cessation of all life activities.
