What makes this interesting to me is I wonder how much this would be worth today if I had of forgotten about it and never knew it existed until now.

One of my next investments was in a company named Global Crossing, a telecom company that went bankrupt and canceled out my gain from Amazon (sold for $22). This is back when you had to physically walk into a brokerage firm and speak with someone to purchase shares.

Everyone has some tale about a misstep or lost opportunity. It makes little sense to kick yourself over something you don’t predict or couldn’t have predicted.

Yeah, you are supposed to invest by a calendar, not a stopwatch but you can't be Rip Van Winkle about it either. ;)

Here's an old oddball that has performed well for me since the 80s.....Dividends have increased for 38 years in a row.....It had a couple of down years but has bounced back nicely.

McCormick & Company (MKC)....You know, quality spices.

I do think that it's a bit overvalued right now but it's a stock you hold for the long term.

Yea, not really kicking myself, I did okay in the end, but had I have hung onto that I could have quit my job and just walked away, that would have been amazing.

My friend bought a 10,000 share block of Microsoft before it went public for $1.00 a share.
After it went public Bill Gates would send a limo up to Bellingham, Wa. to pick he and the others who
also invested to go to the shareholders meetings once a year. It made him a multi millionaire
before he diversified into other stocks using some of the stock as seed.

That's exactly the kind of graph you want to see in a company over a 20 year span. I like their spices and have used them many times. I just bought spices yesterday, but got Weber this time.

When you think of how much money Steve Ballmer made on Microsoft it kind of makes you dizzy.

Yeah, people that use those dollar store spices soon discover that they have to use up to 3X the amount to get the same flavor as a quality spice.

Covid really hurt them for a couple years due to being in MD which was the 27th ranked most restrictive state.
