I don't think this needs much explanation. It's self-explanatory for those paying attention.

In recognition of the predicted effect of indiscriminately rounding up people who are in the country illegally, this happened.

Trump Tells Farmers ‘Changes Are Coming’ to Immigration Crackdown

President Trump acknowledged on Thursday that his immigration policies are hurting the farming and hotel industries, making a rare concession that his crackdown is having ripple effects on the American work force.

Mr. Trump, who has made mass deportation a centerpiece of his presidency, said on social media that “changes are coming.” And while there was no sign of any significant modification to his policies, Mr. Trump’s statements suggested the scale of his crackdown may be alienating industries he wants to keep in his corner.

It would seem some businesses are being hurt by the ICE roundup. Who would have guessed?

Mass Deportation

Devastating Costs to America, Its Budget and Economy

What's a vindictive prez to do to keep the deportation numbers up, and punish cities holding "No Kings" protests.

Trump immigration policies targeting Democratic cities energize organizers, leave others confused

In recent days Trump has vowed to shift immigration enforcement away from political allies and toward political foes, prioritizing deportations in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and cities at “the core of the Democrat Power Center.” At the same time, he’s reversed course and paused arrests in industries that heavily rely on a foreign-born workforce.

Trump Uses False Voting Claims to Target ‘Democrat Power Center’

Making false claims about illegal voting by noncitizens, President Donald Trump ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to target the “core of the Democrat Power Center.”

In a post on Truth Social Sunday evening, Trump told ICE to target “America’s largest cities,” and specifically called out Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, all of which are predominantly led by elected Democrats.

“These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities,” the president claimed.

The order represents the latest effort by Trump — and perhaps the most dangerous yet — to wield the massive power of the federal government to punish and weaken his political opponents.

Retribution against perceived enemies, rewarded allies. What a fitting epithet for his gravestone.

Big agriculture breathes a sigh of relief. All their money reached their intended target. The Hiltons can sleep well at night again.

Wasn't the initial rationale for mass deportations to make the country safer? Now it's about where illegal aliens live and what they do for work. After all, orange jeeezus employed......and may still employ.......undocumented workers at his properties. So are we to think this is a re-orientation of priorities? Immigrants here illegally can stay if they are working in an industry important to trump and his wealthy allies. To be generous these are mixed messages coming from the regime.

There are no mixed messages. Everything Trump does is 100% about Trump.

The American public voted for a President whose goal was to get rid of every single foreign bastard who is in the country illegally. That is literally what he was elected to do. Yinz do believe in "democracy," right?

There is nothing unusual or extreme about it. Indeed, every President effectively promises to do the same thing when s/he takes the Oath of Office: Enforce/execute the immigration (and other) laws.

But successive Democrat Administrations have illegally conspired to MAXIMIZE the number of people in the country illegally, making Trump's task literally impossible. This was the intention of the Democrats when they opened the borders.

So President Trump, being WISE, has decided to prioritize his expulsion efforts, with known criminals being at the top of the figurative list, and productive workers being at the bottom. His recent public pronouncements simply make that clear.

TDS is mostly characterized by the violent rejection of everything Trump says or does, and believing every ridiculous tale or rumor that places him in a bad light. This discussion/OP is an exhibit of that phenomenon.

He is one of the most inconsistent human beings on the planet. Lies, ignorance and narcissism plague him.

MAGA is nothing if not gullible.

I know that there is a fringe part of the country that 100% believes that.

It is not true, practical, or feasible.

The majority of Trump supporters would not be opposed to that, but since they are sane, they didn't actually cast their vote expecting that outcome.

Trump/Homan are doing exactly as the majority of his voters voted for.
Democracy.

I've seen that false narrative quite a lot lately. I think it's fair to say people who voted for the Bigot-in-Chief supported a more strict immigration policy and the vague concept of a more secure border. But.......

A Pew Research Center poll earlier this year showed that Americans opposed deporting people “who have a job,” 56% to 41%. They also strongly opposed deporting people who came here as children (68-30%), the parents of US citizen children (60-37%), and undocumented immigrants who married citizens (78-20%).

A March Marquette Law School poll was similar. While 68% broadly favored deportations, that number dropped to 41% for people who have been here for years, have jobs and have no criminal record.

And a February Washington Post/Ipsos poll showed Americans opposed deporting people who haven’t broken non-immigration laws (57-39%), those who arrived as children (70-26%) and those who have been here for more than 10 years (67-30%).

Don certainly has succeeded in getting you to view the guy down the street who came here illegally, has been here for 20 years, holds a job, and has kids in school who are US citizens as "bastards." The power of propaganda is not lost on the regime.

Not so fast. Stephen Miller is having NONE of it. ICE has been ordered to keep it up, regardless of what Trump says.

Trump certainly is in over his head. Business in one ear and Miller in the other.

There have been a number of people who thought they were securely in Dotard's inner circle only to be thrown off a bridge when they overstepped. Remember, with the serial sexual abuser known as Don loyalty is a one way street.

Steven Miller “aka lightbulb head” is our shadow President
He certainly has an outsized influence on immigration policy. Which is concerning since he's a xenophobic racist.
