Some would say it's the most nihilistic response from people when discussing major impending problems that this country faces......But is it really?

Consider this....You are 1/340 million people in the US. Your personal wealth that you could leverage for any meaningful change is a grain of sand on the beach.

Sure, you can spend your life angry, tilting at windmills and pretending that your outrage makes a difference... or you can enjoy your life the best you can and do your best to raise the best kids you can.

What exactly do you expect your "sacrifice" to change? Because unless you're some top-tier person in terms of wealth or power the minor ripples you create will fade away quickly.

The world is shitty because the vast majority of people are shitty and/or don't care. Your so-called sacrifice will very likely be futile, only serving for your own frustration and anger.

Do what you can for you and yours and if what you did suits you, then be happy with it. You did well.

Some of us have grandchildren who will likely live into the 22nd century. I don't want them to look back on us as the most selfish generation since we knew better.

Other than leaving them some material "stuff" you will be some pic in a digital photo album.....Maybe.....That's not even a guarantee they way folks erase images these days or bother to recover them from old tech.

I have G-Grandchildren and I know the score.....I pay for their education and hopefully they will do OK after I'm dead.

There are no guarantees in life.....Much less when you exit it.

I make a few helpful suggestions here as well as sometimes emailing some to my Mayor and Alder, realizing that most will be ignored, and let it go at that (I do give to charities that touch me). I thoroughly enjoy my life, job, and family. The world is going down the drain and I can do nothing to stop that, so I eat, drink, and be merry.

All true, but the WWII 'Greatest Generation' didn't get that moniker by their selfishness.

Western society is falling apart at the seams. And this is not a product of "them dang kids these days!!!"
No. On every measurable level, America is declining. Especially moral decline.

People can't stay in relationships anymore. When you include the failures of relationships several years long with failed marriages - holy shit. It is over 60% failure rate!! That is a serious-serious bad sign.
Productive People are having less and less children, or no children at all - meanwhile the unproductive- lowest classes are having kids like rabbits - umm... that is also a serious problem.
More 25-30 year olds are STILL living with their parents and have no goals in life than ever before
More teens are on anti-depressants than ever before.
Due to virtue signaling fads - in another few years half - HALF - of teenagers will see themselves as queer or bisexual. HELLO??? That is a problem.

Meanwhile China is polluting our society with meth and fentanyl, killing people by the 100,000s a year. Spying on us like their is no tomorrow - and we don't care.

Yep, FUBAR.

About all a man can do is insulate him and his from it the best he can till he shakes off his mortal coil.

Do what you can for you and yours ...

as the fabric of all three desert religions ... under a single moto just for them.

- no wonder what jesus taught led to their crucifixion - and the deserts claim they gave their life for them.

I did what I could for most my life. Now I am tired. Time for the next gen to fight the fight. Now I go to funerals instead of weddings. If I can get a at least another wedding invite before my funeral I will be happy.

Yes, that is what some say. I talked to an old gal down the street. Nice gal, but a commie dem. She is the type of dem that does not want people hurt. Not a filthy commie dem pig like IM2. She is a jr. commie. She votes commie bc she is thinking she is doing the right thing. Whereas a filthy commie pig like IM2 wants to destroy America and all that is good. I try to get through to her, but she says she will be dead by then and shrugs it off.

commie can't hide 411.webp
