I disagree with the Wisconsin Court, you shouldn't pay people to vote.

No one was paid to vote. Petition signers were entered for a CHANCE to win one of two $1M awards.
Two people were paid a million bucks each.

Great, it's a petition. Now, did people sign the petition because of their convictions, or did they sign it for a chance to win a million bucks?

This renders this whole thing to nothing but an old 90's style sweepstakes. There is no genuineness in any of it.

This is a weird one because whoever wins the election is going to be on the court gets to decide whether or not the whole process was correct.
Can't see them voting against themselves.
Indeed. But, you have to respect the legal process. Sue in Wisconsin courts, when it reaches the Supreme Court there, and they inevitably reject the lawsuit, elevate it to a federal district court in that area. Then, you take it all the way to the Supreme Court.

Yeah nobody broke any laws whatsoever.
If anything Musk is doing the state of favor by increasing the interest in voting.

There has been no vote. If people genuinely did not believe in the petition--they have every right to vote against it when it is put on the ballot. Simple. No one was paid to vote. Signing a petition is not a vote for any candidate, legislation or ballot measure.

You underestimate the pull of money.

Face it fool, you want Musk to be the guy who paid off and donated millions for his candidate to win.
Actually I don't. I'd prefer if people acted on their on convictions, not because there's a chance for personal gain.

I see.

We'll see, when this invariably allows leftist billionaires to do the same.
And we will see when you run out and vote for all the same people that you don't care about this at all, really. Right?

I can play, too.

Not at all--there was NO payment for a vote. The signature on the petition entered that voter for a chance at winning some money. There was no underlying legal measure being voted on. Simply a petition to create one. If one was created, it would be voted on legally without any chance of being paid.

You see, when Trump starts talking about ignoring the 22nd Amendment to run again, my limit has been reached.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Welp, have no fear. He will do it perfectly legally by running as Vice President, then acting as President. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if one of his drooling toadies runs for President, then resigns, after they win, passing the office to Trump.

Like I said, was this petition signed by people acting on their convictions or beliefs, or was this nothing more than people signing up for a prize?
