I disagree with the Wisconsin Court, you shouldn't pay people to vote.

It discards the genuineness of the person's vote. I am totally not in favor of paying people to vote, it's wrong and is sacrilege to the entire process of voting. It would be like wanting to win someone over to Christ, but instead of sharing the message of the Gospel, you pay them a million bucks instead, they'll tell you "I'm a Christian" but are they? Did they really become a Christian of their own convictions, or because you paid them? Same concept with paying people to vote. It should be illegal, and I disagree with the judge who cleared the way for the process. It means now that leftist billionaires can engage in the same behavior all the same.

So disingenuous of you.

Yes, the right will disagree with me, but you don't stop to consider that allowing this behavior from the people you support via the courts will allow people you oppose to do the same. Some call that being blind.

I agree, but this entire issue is actually highlighting something else in My mind.

The issue is that Musk is attempting to keep the Democrats from gaining control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court because he thinks they will gerrymander Wisconsin districts to alter the number of Democrats that the state will send to the US House of Representatives.

You'll take note that the Democrats are not even denying this, after the last 12 years of their whining about how gerrymandering is wrong.

Just another example of the left willing to destroy our democracy because they hate one man.

Now, will anyone tell me how we actually win votes?

With a message. A convincing message. The most fundamental practice in election politics.

What does all religion teach? Way worse than I’ll pay you money to listen to me. They teach listen to me and I’ll promise you eternal life and happiness.

That's beyond the point.

Obviously.no, illegal bribes are illegal.

In fact, US citizens should be required by law to vote, with a tax penalty, if they not.

From what I understand it's not specifically for voting it is for supporting the candidate. Maybe many of those people will support the candidate and still vote for the other one. Having said that however I do find it somewhat obscene to see that kind of money connected to the voting process directly.

Instead of paying people a million bucks to vote for Schimel, just let the election play out. If the Democrat wins, and they do inevitably gerrymander the Wisconsin house districts, then encourage people or politicians to sue. Taking it to the courts would be the best way to check them if the vote fails.

Also, and this might be a long shot, press Congress to pass a law making gerrymandering illegal.

Indeed.

But would you oppose it if a leftist centibillionaire did what Musk is doing?

No one was paid to vote. Petition signers were entered for a CHANCE to win one of two $1M awards.

This is a weird one because whoever wins the election is going to be on the court gets to decide whether or not the whole process was correct.
Can't see them voting against themselves.
