Vermont reported 327 new Covid-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the state’s seven-day average to an all-time pandemic high.

The rolling average of new cases per day receded for more than a week after the previous high of 219 on Sept. 18, but it has now rebounded to 245, according to data from the state Department of Health.

Of the cases that were assigned to specific counties, Chittenden and Orleans reported the highest number of new cases Wednesday, with 37 each. But rates of new cases per capita show the Northeast Kingdom counties of Orleans and Essex far outpacing the rest of the state in terms of infections.

As of Oct. 10, both counties were reporting more than 100 new cases per 100,000 people over the past two weeks.

Those counties also have the lowest vaccination rates in the state, with 62.1% of eligible people having started vaccination in Essex County and 76% in Orleans, according to the state’s vaccine dashboard.

The state has reported 15 deaths so far in October, while September had 45. In total, 343 people in Vermont have died in the pandemic.

• The CDC would have said no repatriation of citizens, EU would have listened

• PPE and Ventilators would have been put in place
• Governors would have been told how serious this was and how to prepare.
• Most likely she would have the Federal government be able to saturate bad areas
• She would have not even mentioned no scientific based treatments\
• She would have appointed a leading expert to handle the pandemic and got out of his/her way and would be there to support them

104,000 Americans were killed by covid19 in January 2021, under Trump's reign. And most all of February '21 deaths from covid is realistically under Trump's reign as well, because there is nothing a new president can do to change a trend of covid spreading the first day in office....it would take a month at least, of actions by the Biden admin, to affect the following month's deaths and death rate.

So sure, the post Christmas and New Year's holiday mingling peak outbreak, fell in to Jan and Feb of 2021, bringing 2021 to more deaths in 2021 than 2020....
