I have been about "Human Nature", factions and passion from the Federalists Papers.

Our form of government is a Republic as opposed to a Democracy. In a Democracy, everyone has equal say to make decisions for the laws and running of the government. That sounds good, until you think about factions within the "government' and exactly what that would lead to. One faction of the population would be at war so to speak with another and there wouldn't be much to stop harming the entire nation.

Human Nature being not perfect, faction would work on passion instead of thinking what is best for the country. Through blinding passion, they believe only their ideas would be best for the nation.

Human Nature comes in when individuals would want what is best for themselves rather than representing the country. There wouldn't be limits placed in the government to thwart People who would be voting for what would benefit them personally as opposed of what would be best for the nation.

That is why the Founding Fathers created the Separation of Powers. Three branches of government where the people vote for representatives that would best work for not only their interests but the interests of the country as well. The Legislative branch, Executive branch and Judicial Branch. All are elected by the people except the Judicial branch. There's the Checks and balances.

And this has worked very well over the ages. But what happens when blind passion enters the government agencies and employees no longer work for the mission of their job description, but develop factions that are based on their personal beliefs and not those working for the good of the country.

If you haven't guessed it, I am talking about Comey, Page, Strzok, Brennan. McCabe, Clapper and the rest that though their own beliefs were more important than the mission statement of their jobs. These are factions working against the greater good.

What do we do about them? This country is so divided into factions, that we aren't even arresting them for their actions. What a mess this division and factions have done to us!

Some of those people listed might be indicted when the Durham Report comes out. It's not enough to know they did it, you gotta prove it in court and that ain't always easy. Documents that get erased or destroyed, witnesses that can't remember, etc. We do not convict people without sufficient evidence, see OJ Simpson. Apparently it's okay to impeachment them though.

Jackson, they also believe they are working for the greater good. You also are viewing this through the eyes of a "faction," isolating people whose decisions you didn't like as people who are working against the government somehow.

That is wrong.

Most agencies have a Mission Statement and that would probably be against their actions.

With respect, you do not break the law working for the greater good. You do not infringe on someone else's civil rights and you do not abuse the power and abilities of your office based on what you think is best. That is NOT their call to make, and their duty requires them to do their job to the best of their abilities no matter who wins or loses. I'm sorry, but the greater good argument holds no water for me. The people who did that are convinced that they know more than we do, and the fact that Trump got elected proves it for them. Those people were not elected, they were hired to dot heir jobs impartially and with honor and integrity. They failed to do that.

We hold free and fair elections and Trump got elected according to our laws and regulations. If someone isn't happy with the results, tough shit. But you don't try to undermine the elected president by resorting to unethical if not illegal actions. Whatever they believed their greater good was, that is no excuse.

My point, task, is that these men didn't infringe on others' civil rights, abuse their power or stretch the limits of their authority in order to do what they thought was best. How do you know they didn't do their jobs impartially and with honor and integrity? These aren't the men in jail. Take a look at the D.C. list, lately?

Are you going to claim that the investigations into Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were both done with equal impartiality? I don't think so. Do you disagree with the findings of the Horowitz Report, or maybe you think all those 'errors' in the FISA applications were honest mistakes? As a result, Donald Trump and his campaign associates were denied certain civil rights; they were put under what IMHO was unlawful surveillance. Nobody has gone to jail for that, but that could change when the Durham Report comes out and indictments are officially entered. They ain't in jail yet, but hopefully some will be.

There is a reason why the FISA Court itself ordered that it could no longer trust any of the sworn statements the FBI had submitted to justify spying on Americans.

"How do you know they didn't do their jobs impartially and with honor and integrity?"

I don't know how anyone can reasonably ask this question.

I sincerely recommend you read this book:

Jackson, they also believe they are working for the greater good. You also are viewing this through the eyes of a "faction," isolating people whose decisions you didn't like as people who are working against the government somehow.

That is wrong.

I totally agree with you. When these people were hired, their job was pointed out to them and their most important task was to follow the laws of our country and the rules important top their job position. They created a faction and with that came their own personal passions. Those agencies, THE FBI, CIA, NSA, and other federal agencies do not have room for people who work for their particular prejudices and not the Mission Statement of the agencies. They lost all professionalism and most likely will be found guilty of crimes.
