The company advised parents to "listen for the pop on the lid seal" when opening jars and to empty baby food into a dish before feeding it to children,

I caught this story on the Today Show this morning. It takes a sick individual to target infants.

On a side note: the Today Show pointed out that even jars tampered with, you can (and the victims did) still hear the "pop" of the seal. They are now telling people to check for the plastic ring around the top of the jar.
