Given how close we came to nuclear war on Ronnie Ray-guns watch (like the infamous "Outlaw Russia Forever" broadcast that actually caused the Soviets to go on high alert), I'm not sure you want to use that as an example.

Of course, China is not the USSR. They are not the leaders of a bloc of like-minded governments. They aren't exporting revolution and arming various terrorist and insurgent groups around the world.

They are playing our game and they are beating us at it.

If these owners sold to a Chinese interest, it was probably because an American interest had no interest in buying it.

Given how many foreign assets are in China, this would probably be a bad move, especially against a country that did nothing more than beat us at our own game.
