If a pro-Biden ( ) mob showed up at the capital on the day of the election certification and some of them got out of hand, and committed acts of violence, I'm not sure what a president's role would be.

Trump did not get involved in the punishing the massive anti-American protests by BLM and ANTIFA during 2020, that included burning, bombing, murder, vandalism, and intimidation of motorists on a mass scale.

If Trump got wind that the FBI had somehow led these pro-Biden ( ) protesters, and influenced them to do violence, I'm sure the firings would start very shortly, with senior leaders being instructed to be entirely forthcoming and above board with congressional investigators on pain of being fired and prosecuted for obstruction of justice.
