Unions are victims of their own successes because virtually everything they've fought for has been put into law. They are now reduced to squabbling about more money without demonstrating that they provide higher value for that higher pay. That is why most workers don't really see the need to belong to a union anymore and take their heavy hand over their work life.

We need a sizeable amount of retirement eligible workers to retire ASAP. Combine that with deportation and employers will be raising their wages nicely just to get an employee to think about applying. Wage increases are what drives an economy. Workers have the right to associate. We will see an uptick in private workers unionized.

P.S. Wages won't go any higher. They already went as high as the Federal Reserve wanted and wage growth was causing inflation so the Feds raised interest rates to slow down hiring and wage growth. In other words, supply and demand aren't the only factors. There are other external factors like the Federal Reserve. This dawned on me when Biden was president and the Feds had to raise interest rates and they said it was going to cause pain but we got through it relatively pain free. It wasn't like the 1980's inflation where Reagan raised interest rates to 20%

It's going to be horrible for the American working class, but I believe the worse that it is, the closer we are to a worker controlled, and directed government.
