First of all, they will not starve. Food banks, private charity and state aid will ensure that they at least get enough calories to hold body and spirit together.

But none of those will provide the nearly unlimited sweets available to those on the dole. they will provide canned meat and vegetables, bread, rice and soups. It will not be trigger treat for grownups as a trip to the corner store with a snap card often is.

They are very used to buying whatever they want with other people's money. For many of them that includes a lot of sugary salty and fatty foods. They will have withdrawal symptoms. Psychological withdrawal certainly, but also physical withdrawal.

10 Common Sugar Withdrawal Side Effects and How to Deal with Them

  1. Sugar cravings
  2. Headaches
  3. Cranky mood
  4. Fatigue
  5. Feeling lightheaded or dizzy
  6. Anxiety
  7. Sleep disruption
  8. Nausea
  9. Brain fog
  10. Poor workouts

I am fearful for them, particularly those with mental illness. Their daily or many times daily sugar fix may be the only thing keeping them from doing themselves harm.

I hope it goes without saying that it is their children who may bear the brunt of this.

EBT should be eliminated altogether. If the churches were doing their job they'd step up to assist people truly in need, not to mention all of the private charities out there.

Very well said. Fear for the children is very realistic. They're the ones who will likely be deprived of food.

Yes, of course.

Those parents view their kids as the breadwinners for all the benefits they bring in.

I knew a married couple that barely tolerated each other. She had a job and he was on disability.

Then his benefits ran out or he lost his eligibility. I met the guy when we moved into his same apartment building, and he helped me lug furniture out of our Uhaul, and into our new place.

He did not get a job right away and she dropped him like a hot rock. These welfare parents will want to drop the kids if they are not bringing home the bacon, literally.

I seriously worry for them.

The majority of them are in poor white rural families in red states.

I'm sure they will see things your way in the mid terms next year.

Yes, and their forefathers knew how to farm the land and make do with a little flour, grease and cornmeal.

But they have had the dependency bred into them by Democratic policies since FDR, so those skills are lost.

Depending on the area. I've read on Reddit that some foodbanks and charities are stretched thin.

Sure, and they will be stretched thinner.

It will be conservative churches who cook hot dogs and hamburgers in their parking lots to feed the victims of Democrats lust for keeping illegal aliens in the country.

They are going to need some rehab, that's for sure.

Yes, and abuse in families will increase, just as it did during the COVID shutdowns.

All this for the benefit if illegal aliens who only use the money they save by getting free healthcare to send more in remittances back to their home countries.

Read Laura Ingalls Wilder's books and learn what capable white pioneers did with flour, grease and meal.
