  • In five billion years the Sun will expand into a red giant 100 times larger than now
  • The inner planets will be destroyed but the Earth might avoid being consumed

What are we worrying about?

From the AI apocalypse to a full-blown nuclear war, it seems that there is an almost endless list of things that might cause the end of the world.

But, if those terrifying fates gest us, there is one doomsday event that Earth can't avoid.

A terrifying graphic reveals how the Sun will grow into a vast 'red giant' star, becoming so large that it will be the end of the solar system as we know it.

guess by that time we will have all evolved into space aliens and found another place to live.
If we havent destroyed each other by then.

I read somewhere just the other day that there is a giant dead spot in the sun....

By That Time, Science Should Be Able to Prevent the Sun's Nova

But we have only 1/5 of that time for life on the planet. Truth is that the Earth we're so intent on saving will kill everything on it by then probably sooner.

I'm pretty sure I'll be dead by then.

A travelling Black hole may enter our solar system and swallow up all the planets, and the Sun before the Sun expands to that Red giant stage.?!!?
