Its 2025, many of the clerical tasks done by Social Security staff can be done by computers.

It isn't like they have to have legions of file clerks any more to send out checks.

Reducing staff makes sense. Sure, the leaders of SSA like the idea of big staffs that make them seem more importants and have massive office buildings full of busy ants.

But it just isn't necessary

There is functionally nothing in government as efficient as the Social Services agency
and Trump and Musk are gutting it. So says Ezra Klein and many other economists.



The video above is interesting as Klein goes after the Democrats as much as after the Republicans. In this video though, he is basically saying the same thing I have been saying and that is that Musk and Trump are going to the extreme and that is going to create very big problems of ALL Americans..
