Congress raises subsidies for Obamacare premiums. Insurance companies raise their premiums, in order to capture that money, while consumers pay roughly the same. The promised $1,500 dollars in savings for each consumer never happened of course, because of this raising of the prices to match the government's contribution.
The insurance companies announce that they will pay for the COVID "vaccines" developed at taxpayer expense, so that anyone insured can get it free by walking into their pharmacy. Since it is "free" Big Pharma can charge as much as the insurance companies will pay. Which is hundreds of dollars for a shot that we are supposed to keep getting over and over.
But consumers don't care because it's "free," it is mandated for many jobs, and who wants to die of COVID? Not to mention the increases subsidy for Obamacare during COVID meant that their premiums didn't go up as much as if they had to pay for the needed increase.
Big Pharma donates millions of the billions of extra profit they make off this scheme to congress to make sure it keeps operating.
