Except for the lack of a fire season the north east quarter of the country is experiencing a decent facsimile of a left coast El Nino combined with a farmbelt tornado season. That in turn means that the responsible state and local authorities don't even know what questions to ask to do a competent damage assessment or who to ask and even the army corps of engineers has no experience with this particular kind of mixed up mess.

So, how will this look when congressional hearings convene? This should lead to interesting viewing.
