THE ANONYMOUS SOURCES OF WASHINGTON POST AND CNN FAKE NEWS
How fake news gets made.

...

This isn’t journalism. It’s a joke.

Last week, the Washington Post unveiled a story based on “the private accounts of more than 30 officials at the White House.” The fake news story falsely claimed that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to resign.

Rod had a simple answer when asked about that piece of fake news. “No.”

So much for 30 anonymous sources and for the Washington Post’s credibility. But the media keeps shoveling out pieces based on anonymous sources and confirmed by anonymous sources while ignoring the disavowals by those public officials who are willing to go on the record.

The Comey memo story is based on, according to the New York Times, “two people who read the memo.” And then "one of Mr. Comey’s associates read parts of it to a Times reporter."

And his dog.

The supposed memo contradicts Comey’s own testimony to Congress under oath.

...

The age of fake news had arrived. We no longer have a free press. All we have is a fake press.

EVERY TIME I TRY TO BE MAD AT TRUMP, THE MEDIA PULL ME BACK
The fake news industry goes into overdrive.

Every time I try to be mad at Trump, the media reel me back in by launching some ridiculous, unprovoked attack. This time, it's the fake news story about Trump "leaking" classified information to the Russkies.

The president can't "leak" classified information: It's his to declassify.

The big secret Trump allegedly revealed is that Muslims might try to blow up a plane with laptops. I already knew that. I read it in The New York Times.

WASHINGTON POST'S JERUSALEM BUREAU CHIEF PEDDLES ANTI-ISRAEL FAKE NEWS
Dishonesty and distortion on Israeli security check points.

I think it’s fair to say that when it comes to anti-Israel reporting in the so-called mainstream media, the New York Times consistently takes top prize. Its writers have attempted to mainstream hate sites, romanticized rock throwing and have openly stated that they could not be impartial when writing about those pesky Jews. Given its current radical trajectory it’s safe to say that NYT will retain this dubious distinction for the foreseeable future. But another paper is giving the NYT a run for its money.

Led by its Jerusalem bureau chief, William Booth, the Washington Post has aggressively engaged in historical revisionism, propaganda and yellow journalism. On May 24, the paper featured an article called, “A Palestinian’s daily commute through an Israeli checkpoint.” The piece, which lacks balance as well as context, centers on a sympathetic Palestinian Arab named Taweel, and the “frustration humiliation [and] pressure” he must endure when entering Israel proper through a checkpoint called “Checkpoint 300.”

The article notes that Taweel, while working in Israel, earns double what he would earn working for a Palestinian employer. What the article fails to note is that there is a dearth of jobs in Palestinian Authority controlled areas. This is because the Palestinian economy is rife with corruption and graft. Well-paying government jobs are awarded through connections rather than competence. The same holds true for obtaining lucrative government contracts.

...

The Palestinians have shaped their own destiny and created their own misery and that’s the undeniable truth. Sadly, Booth’s article is sorely lacking in balance but contains an overabundance of bias. It is precisely this type of shoddy journalism that lends credence to the notion that elements within the mainstream media continue to propagate fake news.

WATCH MEDIA STAGE A MUSLIM ANTI-TERROR RALLY

...

But the other thing that makes it stand out is that we rallied and then the media possibly did its coverage. It didn't stage manage us. If reporters wanted a good shot, they maneuvered for it. They certainly weren't directing the protestors.

This video, out of the UK, allegedly involving CNN, shows the exact opposite.

After the latest Muslim terror attack in London, there's an urgent need to run stories about Muslims supposedly opposed to terrorism. Even if you have a handful of people and you have to stage manage the results.

FAKE NEWS GIVES WAY TO FAKE REFUGEES
UNRWA apologizes after posting photo of fake Gazan refugee.

...

“Imagine being cut off from the world – for your whole life. That’s reality for children like Aya. The blockade of Gaza began when she was a baby, the occupation in the West Bank before her parents were born. Now she is eleven, and the blockade goes on.

Aya’s childhood memories are of conflict and hardship, walls she cannot escape, and the fear that the only home she knows, however tiny, could be gone when she returns from school.

This Ramadan, please help support children like Aya who have known nothing but conflict and hardship. Donate here: http://buff.ly/2qgsP0Y#forPalestinerefugees

There was one major problem with UNRWA’s photo and accompanying story. It was entirely fabricated. As revealed by the watchdog organization UN Watch, Aya’s photo was a 3-year-old photo lifted from the Syrian theater. In fact, UNRWA tweeted the original image in January 2015 with the caption, “A year in #Syria: A year in Syria | UNRWA.” UNRWA transformed little Aya, if she even exists, into a fake refugee who jet sets between Syria and Gaza in her spare time.

...

In the dawn of fake news, it is a virtual certainty that we will regrettably witness many more cases like those noted. What is even more unfortunate is that exposure of this despicable fraudulent conduct will never make its way into the pages of the New York Times and other media elite outlets because it runs counter to the false narrative these media outlets wish to present, that of Israel as bully and the Palestinians, its perpetual victims.

FAKE NEWS: NO, RUSSIAN HACKERS AREN'T BEHIND THE QATAR CRISIS
June 7, 2017

Daniel Greenfield
khalid-sheikh-mohammed-008.jpg

The media has become a sad, delusional embarrassment.

After Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Egypt decided to break relations with Qatar, the media scrambled around for an anti-Trump angle to make sense of the whole thing. Then it got it.

US investigators believe Russian hackers breached Qatar’s state news agency and planted a fake news report that contributed to a crisis among the US’ closest Gulf allies, according to US officials briefed on the investigation.

That comes from CNN. Where journalism goes to die a miserable death.

In CNN's bizarre universe, all of this is going on because hackers planted a fake news story not too long ago. (The solution, watch CNN.) There's only one problem. Reality.

...

But the media now exists in an imaginary universe consisting entirely of conspiracies that explain why Hillary Clinton isn't president. All international developments must be rolled into the conspiracy.

They talk to a guy who produces fake news for a living.

Here is some of the transcript:

We left Coler our contact information, and a couple of hours later, he had a change of heart. He sent us an email and agreed to talk.

COLER: My name is Disinfomedia, and I'm the owner of Disinfomedia Inc.

SYDELL: Coler is a soft-spoken 40-year-old with a wife and two kids. He says he got into fake news around 2013 to highlight the extremism of the white nationalist alt-right.

COLER: The whole idea from the start was to kind of build a site that could kind of infiltrate the echo chambers of the alt-right, publish blatantly false or fictional stories and then be able to publicly denounce those stories and point out the fact that they were fiction.

SYDELL: Coler was amazed at how quickly fake news could spread and how easily people believe it.
He wrote one fake news story for nationalreport.net about how customers in Colorado marijuana shops were using food stamps to buy pot.

COLER: What that turned into was a state representative in the House in Colorado proposing actual legislation to prevent people from using their food stamps to buy marijuana based on something that had just never happened.

SYDELL: During the run up to the election, fake news really took off.

COLER: It was just anybody with a blog can get on there and find a big, huge Facebook group of kind of rabid Trump supporters just waiting to eat up this red meat that they're about to get served, cause an explosion in the number of sites.

SYDELL: Coler says they've tried to write fake news for liberals, but they never take the bait. Coler's company, Disinfomedia, owns many faux news sites. He won't say how many, but he says he's one of the biggest fake news businesses out there, which makes him kind of like a godfather of the industry.

Now, who in their right mind would believe such a story?

CNN was forced to correct a story from earlier in the week after four journalists got the story on former FBI chief James Comey dead wrong.

On Tuesday, confident CNN journalists Gloria Borger, Jake Tapper, Brian Rokus, and Eric Lichtblau, ran a report titled, “Comey expected to refute Trump” based on information they got from anonymous sources. They were so confident, that Borger said in a televised appearance at the network, “Comey is going to dispute the president on this point if he’s asked about it by senators, and we have to assume that he will be. He will say he never assured Donald Trump that he was not under investigation, that that would have been improper for him to do so.”

Except, Comey’s opening statement on Thursday didn’t confirm what CNN’s unreliable sources claimed:

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS etc. should actually come out with a new statement that says, all the left wing propaganda, selective biased stories, and speculative baloney we have been saying for the last year have all been LIES and part of our plot to collude with the Democratic Party in our failed attempt to elect Hillary Clinton, and now to destroy Trump . That would be a good start to regaining at least part of their credibility.

CNN'S FAKE NEWS SCANDAL IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CONSPIRACY THEORIES BECOME NEWS

Someone in the media finally went too far even for his own colleagues. And that's saying something.

CNN is reportedly implementing strict new rules for the network's stories regarding Russia.

...

Sadly, I doubt the Washington Post would have retracted, And we know the New York Times would not have. They proved that recently when they defended a discredited fake news story.

But this comes of turning conspiracy theories into news and then pretending that they're journalism.

The news is supposed to report on actual events. Conspiracy theories just link different elements that appear to have some kind of relationship and turn that it into a story. Pope Francis and the head of Deutsche Bank both wear New Balance shoes.

CNN Investigates had been announced after President Trump’s inauguration. Its hit pieces had followed the same pattern as the Scaramucci attack that would be its undoing. Go after a personality tipped for a job with the new administration. CNN Investigates had previously targeted Monica Crowley and Sheriff Clarke with plagiarism accusations. But this time around, CNN’s anti-Trump unit had made a big mistake.

Unlike K-File’s petty harassment of Trump associates, the Scaramucci hit piece came from the heavier hitters poached by CNN from mainstream media papers who were supposed to bring down Trump.

The men behind the disaster were no lightweights. Thomas Frank had been nominated for a Pulitzer. Eric Lichtblau had shared a Pulitzer for bashing the Bush administration over, of all things, surveillance. Their names were all over CNN hit pieces tying to tie Trump to an impeachable Russian scandal.

That was what they had been hired for.

...

Conspiracy theories die hard. Fake news is very profitable. But what happened at CNN should be a lesson to the rest of the industry eager to cash in on the irrational fear and loathing of the left.

A few months after the Post’s Eric Wemple had touted CNN’s hire of Lichtblau, he was forced to report on his resignation. CNN has taken a beating. The two titans of anonymously sourced Trump hit pieces, the New York Times and the Washington Post, are next.

But not the Right, when caught lying they just grow the lie with each retelling.

A perfect example of GOP Hate Radio Fake News is the Exxon Valdez oiled harbor seals that were rehabilitated for $80,000 each and when released were eaten by a killer whale, as the fake news went circa 1998. Over time the seals became an otter and the Orca became a sea lion, then a shark and now back to an Orca/killer whale.

Here is the fake news Seal/otter lie in a couple of its forms from the Doctor Of Duplicity and reigning king of Fake News, MessiahRushie, and pay attention to all the details he puts into this completely fake story built on an original Urban Legend. He even gloats that his suckers never forget his Fake News/lies.

We begin with the original urban legend and follow it with Limbaugh's lies ending with the version he told just yesterday:

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, they were both eaten by a killer whale.

August 5, 2008
RUSH: And our buddies, our buddies at CNN. They're preparing a retrospective special, ladies and gentlemen, on the disaster that was the oil spill at Prince William Sound and the Exxon Valdez. What they will not tell you is if you go up there today, you won't find any evidence of it other than the stupid memorials that human beings -- this is where oil was on the rock, this is where the otter got eaten by the shark, we threw it back in there -- the sea lion, whatever, ate the otter.

The $80,000 Sea Otter That Vanished in One Swallow
June 28, 2017

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Love your show. You talked about the oil spills today, and I remembered when I first listened to you, I think it was over 25 years ago, at that time you reported a story in Alaska where this otter was in an oil spill and it had oil all over its fur. So they took it in, they cleaned it up, they called in all sorts of consultants and college professors on ecology to feed it and everything. They cleaned it up. This was all over the papers then.

They had live TV cameras rolling and they went out on this long pier and they were gonna release the otter back into the ocean. So the cameras are rolling, the high school band is playing and the otter swims out, everybody’s cheering, and then along comes a killer whale and just gobbles it up. And I even remember what you said at the time, you said, “Hey, this killer whale is swimming around and sees the otter, ‘Oh, here’s lunch, and somebody’s even cleaned it for me.'”

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: I laughed so hard, I thought it was wonderful at the time.

RUSH: It’s amazing, powerful stories that people never forget.

Rush: So what happened was there was an otter. Folks, otters, when they’re in the water are the cutest little things. They’re rodents for the most part. They’re just giant rats, but they’re like squirrels, a tree rat. They look cute as opposed to rats. And the otters are in the water and their two little paws are sticking out and they’re looking up. Everyone loves ’em and they found one just soaked in Exxon Valdez oil.

So they rescued the thing and they took it away to clean it up, and they spent $80,000 cleaning up this one otter. The point of the story was the insurance company had to pay that money, $80,000 to clean up. And the day came where it was a successful project, they’re gonna release the otter back into Prince William Sound. And it was a momentous day for the community. It represented overcoming this ecological disaster. It meant saving an animal from the evil clutches of humanity behaving as it does, destroying the planet every day.

They let kids out of school. They had like high school bands and stuff. It was like a parade and they had the little otter in a cage and they’re rolling it down the street, eventually down to the pier or the dock where they’re gonna release it to great fanfare. And the mayor, everybody is making speeches about what a wonderful thing that had been done here in saving the otter and cleaning it up, it was a symbol of what we could all do when working together, when we can put everything aside and come together and kumbaya and work for one idealistic goal, to save animals from the evils of oil spills.

And they let the kids out of school, first graders, second graders, they’re so happy ’cause the otter is so cute. They even named the otter, I forget what the name was. It came time to release it, they lowered the cage, and after the cage was officially offshore, they opened the door to the cage and the otter swam out and it was sitting there like otters do on its back with its two front paws up looking cute as hell. And before anybody knew what had happened a giant orca came out of nowhere and swallowed the thing, just ate it like sushi, it was otter sushi.

And the music kind of didn’t stop immediately, kind of like when you had a record at 33 or 45 and you turned the power off, it slows down. And the kids were looking, “Mommy, Mommy, what happened? What happened?”
