How durable are porcelain dentures?

I'm helping my mother decide between porcelain and acrylic for her first set of dentures and we're concerned with how durable porcelain dentures are.

Other than when dropped, how often do the teeth tend to come out during normal use with porcelain dentures?

I am trying to avoid that..My papa would play with his denture with his tongue and make them come out of his mouth. A friend of mine says that he eats without the top dentures in since the sense of taste goes when you wear dentures.

I've had the same set of acrylic dentures for more than 8 years. Soak them over night and clean them every morning.
