How does it help climate change to reduce drilling in the US while asking Saudia Arabia and Venezuela to drill more?

Since 2008 the US has tripled it's output. The only reduction in drilling since, in the US Oil patch came under Trump during the Covid crisis.

Thankfully nothing has changed since 2008!
Perhaps the extra 100+million trespassers made a difference.

Other than being in office, Don John had nothing to with the production cuts in the US during the covid glut. At the time we had already more than tripled our production low in 2008.

Regardless of how much we've increase our production since then, we only reduced drilling in response to economics, not government mandates.

Stupid is thinking we have reduced drilling.

Trump has very little to do with the Oil Patch. The US has not reduced drilling and is not reducing drilling, as recent history shows. We didn't triple our output since 2008 by reducing our drilling. The Oil Patch reduces drilling based on economics, not government mandates like OPEC + countries do.

PRODUCTION OF CRUDE OIL IS NOT "DRILLING". DRILLING IS EXPLORATION AND TAKES YEARS TO REACH THE PRODUCTION STAGE. PRODUCTION IS PUMPING THE OIL OUT OF THE GROUND.

OPEC IS REDUCING PRODUCTION, NOT DRILLING. THE USA IS REDUCING PRODUCTION, NOT DRILLING. THEY HAVEN'T STOPPED DRILLING, THEY'VE STOPPED PUMPING THE OIL OUT OF THE GROUND.

Most US wells produce less than 50 barrels a day. We don't have any economies of scale.
