Yep....by focusing on actual criminals, you actually target the criminals who use illegal guns for crime...and amazingly, by doing this, you lower the gun crime rate. You do not lower the gun crime rate by targeting law abiding gun owers....

Notice...the people they focus on...are criminals...not law abiding gun owners who own and carry guns for self defense.....

The City of Reno says violent crime involving guns has decreased 13% in the last year thanks to the Reno gun Initiative.


The Reno Gun Initiative was founded in April- it's a cooperative approach to gun violence in which local, state and federal agencies employ evidence-based practices and work together to share resources and intelligence to jointly combat gun violence in the community.

Since the Reno Gun Initiative began, more than 60 individuals have been arrested for crimes involving firearms, and more than 100 firearms have been seized. Data has also shown a significant reduction in areas of elevated risk for gun violence.

Bring back the death penalty. It isnt a deterrent to others, but it does stop repeat offenders...
