Do you have optimism? Would like to know your outlook Luckyone

I am not optimistic with all the turrmoil in the world, both overseas and potentially in the United States. How all this turmoil ultimately affects the U.S. economy is dependent on the severity and the length of external disruptions (too many to speculate on, but conflict with China is my greatest concern)

I sold three of my larger holdings this morning.

ESPR

OSCR

EOSE

All told this was a good chunk of my total assets in my brokerage account, which before this morning was larger than my Money Market (cash) holdings.

Not anymore, cash is now larger than the MM. I still have my blue chip stocks, and while one of these holdings is large, most of these holdings are small, under $10,000 each.

I don't like to worry so I avoid the stock market. My holdings are in CD's, MYGA's (annuities), and a money market account.

If you don't lose your job, keep putting in to your 401K. If stocks tank you'll be buying low right?

I should probably move my 401K to something really safe. Wait and see. Nah. I got 8 years till I retire. Now is not the time to be conservative. Buy buy buy.

I upped CDs and am keeping an eye of I Bonds.

Always willing to ride the market with a nice chunk, I believe I do much better than at the casinos.

A huge drop -- Depression not just Recession ,which has nothing to do with Trump .
It is wired into the system after years , if not decades , of deliberate corruption .
Bonds are Mush .
Real Estate is Mushing .
Commerrcial Property-- disaster
Stagflation a real likelihood .
Debt is overpowering
Derivatives could become valueless '
Ditto Fiat currency --- 90% decline is worst scenario .

But no other real difficulties

He's a huge left-wing twat, but Buffett is good at deciding when to get in or out of the market.
His giant pile of cash on the sidelines is probably a good bet.

Stagflation a real likelihood .

The best cure for stagflation is cutting taxes, cutting stupid regulations and cutting the size of government.

That, imho, was the huge extra background behind DOGE .
I feel 100% that Trumpfy et al know what is in the pipe line and what we are seeing are desperate attempts to prevent the Tilt Moment from arriving .
I separately believe that his strategies are sound regardless , but perhaps you never get as many and as much until the overall forecast is as dire and grim as it now is .

Trumpfy's biggest job by a mile is to keep China and Russia aware of the truth and to stop them pulling the plug on the US through financial means and using BRICS PLUS .
Otherwise you will have a valueless dollar which will be worse than dreadful for the US and its effects will obviously ripple round the globe .
IMHO .;

Trump keeps crashing the stock market. It started in the black this morning and then he ran his mouth tariffs again.

I'm what's called a "nervous Nellie". Anyway, I invested in residential rental property and did quite well. Lots of work but I enjoyed it.
There are a lot of ways to get rich, your actual hands on approach investing in residential property can yield higher results, in fact, much higher results. It also, unquestionably in my reasoned opinion, much, much higher headaches.

I can solve my real estate headaches, not so with the stock market.

The market does not like uncertainty and Trump creates chaos

Going to be an interesting four years
Totally untrue. He's ending wars, he's cutting waste, he's giving tax cuts, he's drawing hundreds of billions of investment with the gold green card program. I look for the DJIA to soar.
