Fair is fair. She can prove herself but she will already know that the crowds Charlie attracted will quickly lose interest if the message becomes cooperation with the opposition to fascism.

What dblack said to you is true. BOTH sides are being sold that the other side is evil. Here's the part that I don't think you believe, because you are still deeply entrenched in the red / blue paradigm.... I've said this before countless times but I'll say it again.... The powers-that-shouldn't-be control BOTH sides. And they are continually pitting both sides against each other and purposely creating more hate, anger and division. And now the latest strategy is to push the idea that "political violence" is a thing, and to scare the crap out of people.

Like I said before, you are allowing yourself to be manipulated and fearful.... which is exactly what the enemy (in the spiritual sense, which is really at the root of all this) wants! Don't allow yourself to be manipulated to hate, fear, panic, etc. That is not from God!

Erika forgave Tyler for taking Charlie's life--and that spans a broad spectrum, from which little darts or pinpricks may emerge. When a mother sees her child hurting, such a prick may strike. Her forgiveness of Tyler (which is tremendous, by the way) can lead into yet unknown territory. Erika's forgiveness of Tyler may not (later) comfort her older child's hurts--and that hurts a mother. It's complicated. Erika is strong, and whatever strikes, I am confident she can work her way through and out of it. She should continue to rely on God's strength--and my bet is that she will.
