Shelby Was Responding to a Different Incident
At about 7:36 p.m. Friday, dispatchers received a 911 call about an abandoned SUV in the middle of a street, with the driver's door open and the engine still running, Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan said Monday. The caller said a man was running from the vehicle, saying it was "going to blow."
Shelby and another officer were on their way to a domestic violence call when she came across the SUV, Jordan said.
On her way to that call, Shelby saw Crutcher standing in the middle of the road, looking down at the ground, Wood said, adding that she would have stopped and checked up on him had she not been on the other call.
She then saw the SUV parked in the middle of the street, obstructing traffic in both directions, Wood said. The engine was running when she got there, which she found odd because she assumed it was either disabled or broken down, he said.

When Shelby approached the car, the doors were closed, and the windows were open, Wood said. She looked into the passenger's side to make sure no one was on the floor of the car, and as she was getting ready to move to the driver's side, she turned around and saw Crutcher walking toward her, Wood said.
Wood said that Shelby then said to Crutcher, "Hey, is this your car?"
Crutcher didn't respond, simply dropping his head while continuing to look at Shelby, "kind of under his brow," Wood said. Crutcher then began to put his hand into his left pocket, Wood said, adding that Shelby told Crutcher, "Hey, please keep your hands out of your pocket while you're talking to me. Let's deal with his car."
Crutcher did not respond, Wood said, so Shelby ordered him again to get his hand out of his pocket. He then pulled his hand away and put his hands up in the air, even though he was not instructed to do so, which Shelby found strange, Wood said.

He then turned and walked to the edge of the roadway and turned to look at her, his hands still in the air, Wood said. Maybe she paniced when Taser went off? Maybe she shot first? Maybe the guy was not hopped up on PCP? Maybe the guy had a sudden medical problem?
Maybe she did not have to shoot the guy? Maybe he was not reaching? Who knows.....they guy had long rap sheet. Acting weird. No decent audible response? Walking away? Window up/down? Blood stream on glass or on ceiling support beam between windows.
I don't blame her. stuff happens fast. IMVHO, "she" should be working at Kroger not on night shift breaking up domestic fights. I agree with the esteemed OffensivelyOpenMinded on that part. Not in combat, not in special forces. Not now. not ever. no women.
Can you do better than her? how many hours you going to wait for the perp to calm down and finish his "adventures" into the car? dope? weapon under seat? drive off? kill some teens? Domestic call goes bad (on your way) and wife baby murdered cause you waiting on this joker? it ain't easy.

In Charlotte, a black cop shot a black suspect who pulled a gun. The media lied. Hillary continued the lie. The OP is continuing the lie.
The shooting was justified. Now one person has been murdered by a rioter, a reporter was attacked by the mob, an unconscious photographer was set on fire and there is video of a man being badly beaten while pleading for them to stop. There is looting, burning and nothing but violence. They are animals. These are the same kind of scum the police deal with on a daily basis.
Those committing these violent acts in the street are not good people pushed over the edge. They have a natural tendency to commit violence.

In the last 10 years, how many incidents can you think of where someone was killed while they were following the officers commands? I can only think of 1.

What the hell? Virtually EVERY single one that causes protests and riots were over incidents where the person was following the pig's commands. Even this last one, he was following her commands and had his hands up in the air. She killed him anyway. She didn't care.

This is such an ignorant ******* post. Can you sound any more white and clueless? Jesus. Talk to some black people for once in your life.
Their parents teach them from a very early age to be polite to cops, don't disobey them, never make sudden movements, etc. They give their kids very specific instructions on how to interact with the police because it is SUCH a big deal in their communities. It's not a question of 'if' they're going to be harassed by the police, it's a question of 'when,' so they prepare them for it.
Sadly, it doesn't always matter if they do these things, because there's always going to be some trigger happy pig who gets scurrred and blows them away even if they're obeying the pigs orders, like this most recent incident.

Unless you're having the same eye problems Hillary is having, watch the damn videos or do some reading on the past cases.
The helicopter video of the Tulsa shooting clearly shows the guy not keeping his hands up. He looked like his was reaching into the van. Of course, the police would suspect that he might be grabbing a weapon.
When people don't follow orders, shit happens and it's their own fault. Are the cops supposed to do nothing and hope for the best when people disobey and make sudden moves?
Starting with Michael Brown, the initial stories put out were not true. The race baiters and the media are doing this shit on purpose to keep people divided. Hillary needs votes, which means she needs victims to save. She's out there kissing up to these radical groups and they'll vote for her because they think she actually gives a shit. Obama doesn't do anything to correct the misinformation and virtually all of his speeches bring up the "cop problem" or racist Americans. It's so far blown out of proportion that it's ridiculous.
Meanwhile, none of you give a shit that there are high crime rates in inner cities where blacks are victims of black criminals. There's your real story and it should be your biggest concern when it comes to black lives.

Fix the Police? Are the police to blame for 13% of our population committing 51% of the murders in our country? The democrats in the inner cities keep the black culture down and make sure that they are the victims for the sake of votes. Obama and the black congressional caucus sure didn't do them any favors. This has been THE most divisive President ever. From day one he did nothing but poor gas on a fire that he himself lit. Obama was the absolute worse thing that has ever happened to this country.
