These are being placed by “Stand with Us,” a multimillion dollar international organization that advocates for Israel. (More on Stand with Us at bottom.)
Meanwhile, American taxpayers are giving money outright to Israel—more than $8 million per day in military aid (see below).
Israeli Investment in Context
Israelis are “investing” money in the US because this is a way to make profits from American markets–that’s what investing means.
This is not a unique thing in a globalized economy. Nor does it mean that whoever invests in the U.S. is an ally or has the well-being of Americans in mind.

On average, Israelis receive 10,000 times more U.S. aid per capita than other people throughout the world, despite the fact that Israel is one of the world’s richest nations.
The Congressional Research Service reports this is sent in a lump sum at the very beginning of the fiscal year. Since the U.S. is operating at a deficit, that means that our government borrows the money and then pays interest on this long afterward.
Israel, on the other hand, receives it in an interest-bearing account, and makes interest on it.

So, Yousef Mohammed, do you know of any countries who pay their workers for doing nothing and just sitting on their backsides at their workplace? Meanwhile, what did you do here since you said you had a green card. Surely you weren't paid to sit at your desk and play video games, were you? Years ago, Yousef, way before you left Iran, there was a story in the newspaper where we gave tons of money to build houses for poor people someplace in either South or Central America. America didn't have to give out this money to get anyone's support, but these houses never got built because the leaders kept it. America was doing it for humanitarian purposes, the same way that American citizens contribute to UNICEF and C.A.I.R. and other relief organizations to help the unfortunates in other countries no matter their religion. Can you tell us whether a rich country like Saudi Arabia tells it citizens who have bucks to start contributing to the poor in other countries who are not Muslims? By the way, I hope you are contributing something to the poor Somali children who are in dire need.
